07/10/2008 10:54 | No I think we are on a winner; once the market settles; I just been told by BLZ that they NEVER sold their shares; But surely with that amount of shares VDI must know ? Do you think the company had shares that they did not have on the Market ? and the directors brought them up in return for cash ? | par12
07/10/2008 10:00 | The director buying is all we have to go on Par12. It's up to the dealing party to inform VDI if there's been a change in their position - if they haven't bothered to do so (which I know from experience happens a hell of a lot!), then it's not down to VDI to chase and find out so that they can issue an RNS. Good contract news yesterday: "Zurich Airport Accelerates and Simplifies Security Management With Visual Defence's 3C(TM) Solution RICHMOND HILL, Canada, October 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Visual Defence Inc. (LSE: VDI), today announced that Unique (Flughafen Zurich AG) has extended the current license of their Visual Defence VMS (Virtual Matrix System) to the full 3C(TM) solution. The move to 3C(TM) will allow Unique (Flughafen Zurich AG), the operator of Zurich Airport, to connect and fully manage their intelligent video application, public announcement system and security control lines from a single command and control point. Unique (Flughafen Zurich AG) will benefit tremendously from a simplified management process that will deliver an overall improvement in asset management and physical security safety functions. 3C's central management and control engine will serve as an administrator to all devices on the network and facilitate the connection of multiple security subsystems currently in place at the airport including several hundred analog and digital cameras, client systems and Ascom's "SmartVision" analytics system. "The level of trust the management of Zurich Airport places in Visual Defence's 3C(TM) solution is rewarding", says Barry Tal, CEO, Visual Defence. "As a trusted partner we work hard to ensure that Zurich Airport is world class in the level of security it offers its passengers." Unique (Flughafen Zurich AG) and Visual Defence have enjoyed a long and mutually beneficial relationship since the implementation of the VMS in 2004. Today, Visual Defence remains focused on building long-term relationships with clients while expanding their affiliation with key business partners." | rivaldo
05/10/2008 16:50 | I was given this link; it highlights the FSA rule for disclosure; these rules indicate that NO large shareolders position has changed, i.e BLZ or others on the VDI list; otherwise they have to state their change in position. So where did they get those shares ?? rivaldo any views ? | par12
28/9/2008 21:24 | Lets hope these guys will supply Video security to the london Olympics | par12
24/9/2008 08:28 | That makes around 25% of the company bought by directors in the last few days! They've spent around £1m doing so. If that's not a signal that the £5m m/cap is seriously underpowered I don't know what is. Pec2004, no doubt the 4p purchase was an off-market transaction directly from a forced/desperate seller. Plenty of them around in this climate! I remain confident that VDI will come very good. | rivaldo
24/9/2008 07:51 | Did the buy price ever go to 4p? | pec2004

19/9/2008 20:42 | And just to rub salt in our wounds !! | par12
19/9/2008 15:28 | Holdings RNS's are notoriously late or even never filed as the companies/institutio | rivaldo
19/9/2008 14:57 | Then if thats the case we will get some Holding RNS's, I could agree that BLZ sold out; Monday for update or they could be breaking rule !! | par12
19/9/2008 14:55 | PAR12, I think you'll find the CEO just bought around 20% of VDI, not 7% - that's why he's gone from 32.9% to 53.4%. There are only 70.65m shares in issue and he bought 14.4m. Judging by the shareholder list I'd guess he's bought BLZ's 12.6% plus maybe HSBC's 4.8% and some more from elsewhere. Whatever, if he's happy to spend £860k on VDI shares that's a pretty good sign! | rivaldo
19/9/2008 14:36 | 7 percent !!; IF those shares did not come from BLZ; It a crazy amount; IF they came off the market there prob only a few mil left in the market place !!. Crazy; maybe you should email the company I have; but no reponse; But I have been very rude in the last few months :0) | par12
19/9/2008 14:23 | Immaculate timing PAR12. Looks like the director buying and fundamentals were enough to persuade someone to buy 25k - and that was enough for a 0.5p price rise. | rivaldo
19/9/2008 14:15 | How can NO ONE is interested in this share, Does no one follow the CEO's dream :0( | par12

17/9/2008 20:30 | I am interested to know where those share came from ? IF they were off the open market then WOW not many left; But I think we will get another RNS in a day or so. | par12
17/9/2008 20:01 | Thx Dasein, nice spot. Good to see it's starting to contribute. A big vote of confidence from the CEO in spending another £860,000 on VDI shares! Which means it's presumably unlikely that there's any bid activity on the immediate horizon (at least any that's known about, including an MBO). But it does represent a BIG financial incentive to get things right here. | rivaldo
17/9/2008 19:41 | Rivaldo see note 7 : Joint Venture in the accounts Gives VDI's share of the joint venture revenue as $310k with a net profit of $76k so at least its up and running, if I remember rightly VDI revenues are tied to passenger numbers which are down a tad at the moment, but should increase signicantly when the airport eventually gets TSA clearance | dasein
