Do I take it that Hydrodec would now have to pay more for VTI seeing as the share price is now above 12p or has the deal been done!

It looks like the VTI share price is now a derivative of the Hydrodec price.

I personally can't wait for HYR to take the company over. After frustratingly held 20000 of these for about four years while they have had technologies that can help produce potable water for an increasingly thirsty world but made virtually no progress it must be time for a change

The share price tells the story.

It is difficult to make out a compelling case for the board of HYR offering significantly better management when two of the six HYR directors are also on the board at VTI. I don't see any compelling evidence that VTI is being badly managed. Tardy announcements in themselves hardly amounts to bad management.

Perhaps that is why an offer is on the table, bad management and HYR think they can better that and perhaps they can for the progress of HYR has been a lot more robust than VTI

I have to confess to getting a little irked at the delay in announcing the details of the "material" land reclamation contract as first announced on 30-1-08. The RNS stated "It is expected that, subject to agreeing the text of the announcement with the other party, this will be announced shortly." Two and a half months is not my idea of shortly when all that has to be done apparently is agree the text. We have had the Nyrstar contract announced since but that is for solid waste a quite different animal from land reclamation.

I recently e-mailed VTI asking if they could indicate when the results would be announced (29-3 last year). I have had no reply.

We are all used to such delays etc among small companies however in the midst of the unusual takeover approach from HYR you would think VTI would be making every effort to issue announcements promptly.

Would you care to elucidate? For some reason your post has been removed.

Rather incestuous deal eh ? No wonder HYR was marked down Friday.

Presumably more of a fall to come so is the quoted offer price really as it reads on the tin ?

I will be much happier being in HYR shares than VTI. Their management have shown that they know how to run a plc properly. This is a great deal for HYR. It gets back 54M shares and gets rid of its royalty commitment.

I only phoned to find out when the results are due out. The call was to Aussie and I only spoke to the receptionist who got the info from one of the directors.Should get results early next week presumably with takeover update.
