Interesting announcement this morning. Aviva has increased its holding. They must know more than we do.

Shares in HYR have risen by 50% in the past 2 months - which has added £5.5m to the value of VTI's holding in it. I'm surprised it hasn't gone up much more; perhaps it will once the market cottons on that VTI's mkt cap is now at a 35% discount to its portfolio of assets, with the business itself valued at zero.

Not looking too promising just tried doing dummy trades with Barclays can only sell 7500 but you can buy as many as you want.

54.5m shares in hydrodec @26.5 = 14.4m GHf 3.0m = 17.4 + sufficient resources for 12 months and all for a capitalisation of 12m. ie a discount of 44%. I am definitely missing something

vitamal - the market is suggesting that VTI will fail and be forced to divest its assets to keep itself afloat. I only hope it can generate revenues of its own before it needs fresh funds - because to sell HYR just at the time it appears to be bearing fruit would be a huge blow.

Vitamal

You are spot on. I recently received an e-mail from Bruno Bamonte which was encouraging in that he acknowledged the delays which are longer than they anticipated but he seemed quietly confident of progress.

Remaining HYR stake 54.5m shares at 23p = 12.5m
GHF stake 30m shares (I think) at 10p 3.0m
Presumably cash sufficient for 12 months according to last RNS

Value at 4.625p 11.1m therfore surplus 40% Am I missing something?

bought and sold all the way up and sold and bought all the way down. I would need them to get to about 15p to break even. Each slump it seems like they cant go any lower but sentiment is now so bad because no follow up deals ever seem to happen I bought some at 5.5 recently as they semm to be capitalised at less than their investments even after recent sales of HYR. I find it odd that there are virtually no buyers even at these depresssed levels but it is a difficult call after seeing them lose so much. Whats your take

heard in a tavern. it seems the aust end may be about to make a nice profit .roughly that of what was just acquired . makes sense now them only needing 1 mill.
as a seperate issue i have found a more than intersting miner for those that trade international shares . bourse australia ;
# asx:cdu www.cudeco.com.au . they are an emerging copper miner touting all debt and a dividend could be paid in the first yr of mining roughly 3 yrs away . at present the share price at high $3 is imo very cheap . given the resource being supergene 40% plus near surface copper . i highly recommend viewing the presentation

I find this annoucement very encouraging. They only need £1M to tide them through AND have locked themselves in for 12 months. To do that they must be confident going forward.

Theres the first sign of money needed...good that they have these shares in the bank to call on so to speak, but they really need some revenue.... quickly!
