I don't think it's that the "Market thinks that VIR have got it wrong", sweepie, but that it is waiting to see what VIR are actually going to do. Being a cash shell is nothing (and that cash will be eaten by overheads unless they get on and do something with it). Any premium above cash is in anticipation of the deals they might do but the longer they delay and the more uncertainty about what opportunities are out there, the less interested investors are. I am in BRDY and we are in the same boat.

Market thinks that VIR have got it wrong, share price down by 8.5%, at a huge discount to cash now or am I missing something?

Ppa must have something of worth to viridas and Bruce rowan.up to press the board at viridas have done. Everything right .no reason to doubt them at this stage.

At a rough guess the NAV in cash is about 0.53p with all the investments thrown in for free. Still looking a reasonable investment here surely, and even if PPA went bust (and I see no reason why it will) it wouldn't really make a big difference here anyway. Looks like lack of news taking its toll combined with CGT selling and a generally slipping market.

But surprised they haven't dropped further with the market in the state it is and PPA now under water

Sorry no brainer to add at these levels when funds permit, grass isn't always greener the other side of the fence

Yesterday I sold my VIR shares and bought CAZA. I don't like this downward trend. I'll be back in here once the trend changes. GLA.

abbey - We've all made the mistake of overpaying for shares or not selling when share price peaks. Don't beat yourself up. Perhaps I should have sold at 68p. I wish I had and bought back at these lower levels (in hindsight) but I didn't. I can also beat myself up, but this is the game we play. If you want to last in this game, then you better get used to disappointments. In time, our decision making improves and we make better decisions and profits increase.

I bought into VIR because Zoltav Resources held and still holds 44,000,000 shares of Viridas, hence I reckoned that if it's good enough for them, then it's good enough for me. We all know what happened to Zoltav resources, formerly Crosby Asset Management. Now that VIR have cash and are valued at about .75p, It's a better deal now than when I bought them at 0.31p back in August 2011.
