The company reported that gross margin was 63.4% (2009: 63.3%); Ireland made an operating profit of £154,000 (2009: £50,300); the US storage facilities based around the Westech acquisition are being modelled on Ireland - it is due to receive its first samples in q4 2010; order intake for equipment sales was £1.1 million (2009: £794,000) - visible income for H2 totals £1.0 million; period end net debt was£2.2 million (2009: £2.6 million). Research Standing An interesting business achieving attractive growth and margins - its storage business converts its products into a service producing recurring revenues. It does raise the question of classification VDN is a Medical Equipment business moving into specialist storage (warehousing!). I believe they should divide their sales, Healthcare and Scientific, into three so as to distinguish between their products and not confuse their clients. Something like ...
