I think, like a lot of people, I must have missed the RNS about the proposed merger falling through which was mentioned 1st December. Anyone know anything about the other company Morgan Advanced Materials?

Interim Management statement looks ok, However I don't like the use of the 'challenging' word being used a few times. Just a hold for me atm not adding.

Codek - I would not take much notice of broker notes. Ubs last month upgraded the stock obviously to suck in buyers to allow their clients to sell.

Seems analyst confidence is falling too, also on no news. However, still implies an 11% upside from here

Rabbar Yes sounds wise not to panic, there is no major fundamental change that we known of atm. My gut feeling is we are near the bottom as long as we hold 410p. Still sitting on my hands but very tempted to drip feed a few at these low prices. Good luck

Codek - You can't rule out someone has info of forthcoming bad news, but it does look like a cyclical stocks sell off everything from gkn mro to tw. Ect.

Hi wipo1, no money to invest at the moment otherwise might be tempted also, but not too concerned regarding drop. Just taking dividends and waiting for Cevian to show their hand regarding these but mainly with Alent.

The woes for vsvs seem more than brutal markets though. Whereas ftse hasnt moved in the last year, vsvs is now down 10%. yet there's no news? Does someone know something perhaps?

No probs Rabbar glad you got the div ok. I hope you are not too badly hit in these brutal markets. Vsvs is one of the few stocks I kept I am tempted to top up but sitting on my hands atm.

Anyone got a dividend payment recently. According to information dividend was payable on the 26th but yet to receive any payment.

It is if you include total operations, but I concede if you strip out discontinued operations then the p/e ratio is around 12. By the way its you're not your.

Cevian buying again. Also saying in press they see a lot of M&A activity this year. Think we will discover cevian's plans for both Vesuvius and Alent this year.

I topped up at 447.45p could not resist. Held up very well.

Edit poor timing was only very small amount, Morgan Stanley have bought another 1%
