Hopefully the Government announcements to allow access to new drugs under an expedited process will help Vernalis with their oncology and pain control candidates.
Some announcement of licence deal might be forthcoming in the near future.

Could be around 2-3 years before we see the impact these cough formulations might have on Vernalis' profile and finances.
Any comments on their significance?

Relatively recent appointent of a new CEO
with a positive and proactive policy,
which we lacked for so long, is having
a positive impact on the share price.
I am a very long standing investor here
and greatly encouraged by these events.

it's certainly encouraging after all these years. I held from 2007 but exited when they carried on down after the consolidation. Been back in since July and not regretting it yet!

Our quintet of biotech picks includes the UK's leading player, £1.3 billion cap BTG (BTG), and three of its up-and-coming small quoted players in Vernalis (VER: AIM), owner of a unique portfolio of long-acting cough and cold treatments, novel therapeutic vaccine developer Scancell (SCLP) and diagnostics specialist Epistem (EHP: AIM). For our fifth pick we look to the US where companies have the best chance of raising the required funds to take a drug from the drawing board to market. Here we select Gilead Sciences (GILD:NDQ) which has developed a diversified pipeline of drugs including treatments for HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, respiratory and cardiovascular conditions and cancer.

These shares are steaming ahead -Im not aware of any new developments but clearly some shrewd investors see the potential here. Think Glaxo might buy them at 55p-but its nice to dream.
