I actually got out of these late yesterday to fund my purchase of a few thousand EGS shares. Would like to get back in at some point now tho as I see no reason for this large drop.

I telephoned the company last week and was told that the results will be announced before the end of January

Movement without any buying this is the kind of share I like. There must be some news in the pipeline either with regard to the results or the takeover bid.

Unfortunately, at this stage, there seems to be no time limit.
Still no offeror identified in the disclosure table.

After a few days of sells the buyers are back. Could the results be published before the week is out? I have not noticed any formal scheduled date for the results anywhere though. It'll be interesting to see if there are announcements made at the same time when it happens.

Don't know for certain when results are due but agree that results will coincide with an announcement about the bid for the company. It's interesting the timing of the 330,000 executive share options issued this afternoon. I'm an optimistic holder but would see this as a positive sign.

No sign of the results yet. I would conclude that they be will delayed to coincide with news on this takeover. The end of year was Oct 31st so they have a couple of weeks yet before they need to release something. Anyone know for certain when the results are to be released?

I think the prospect of bid is more relevant than the fundamentals. Rumour will drive the share price until the bid issue is resolved.

Nothing much here other than speculation. Fundamentals have not changed and therefore no reason for todays rise. IMHO.

BTW I am a holder and pleased nonetheless.

HighStreetMike,

VET posted final results last year on 9th Jan so I expect roughly the same this year, but no dates announced by the company as far as I know.

I'm still holding on hoping for good news on the results front i.e. near break even with cash burn stemmed, and an announcement about the offer must be due shortly. Personally I think the offer will be higher than most people's expectations due to Jason Drummonds majority shareholding of 53%. Wishful thinking maybe but I can't see him selling at less than the cost of his private investments at 45p plus.

The only potential downside I see at the moment is the possibility that the takeover talks breakdown but I expect that this is factored into the current price considering the 'whisper' is the offer is at 45p.

At least there can be no more goodwill write-offs as they have cleared it all out already!
