P-B -Thanks for the welcome. Have taken a nice little profit here in order to utilise the proceeds elsewhere for the time being, although I am still retaining an interest with an ongoing long spreadbet. Shall continue to monitor as I think the prospects for this are highly positive. Have you cashed in here, or do you still hold?

johnyee 7 - I have had a look at intq; it could be worth a small interest.

Just to let you know that someone else is now following this thread.
Came across this share late last year and have watched it rise relentlessly since without buying until I happened to find out about the IPO, at which point I made an optimistic investment.
Glad to say that I did and look forward to a sustained upward trend continuing.

Should be a trading statement and possibly final results in the next few weeks. And remember there's this:

Velti PLC (VEL.LN), a global provider of mobile marketing and advertising technology, announced Tuesday it has won significant contracts with several large mobile telecommunications operators and expects the combined contract wins to contribute around $10 million in revenue in the fourth quarter of 2010

Closed at the equivalent of £8.76 in the US ($14.16)

I expect normal service to be resumed tomorrow. The fact that we closed above 8 quid is bullish imo. Tenner before long.

I know the Yanks put these tech stocks on much higher ratings than us but I am finding it very difficult to decide when to take some profits. the company isn't even profitable yet !

With all the hype surrounding LinkedIn's filing to go public, the one question being asked a lot is, "how do we know if tech IPOs will do well in today's market?" Good question, and this morning, we have an answer.

Very well, thank you.

San Francisco's Velti dodged the hype, and quietly went public on the Nasdaq this morning. Quietly, unless you're a shareholder, in which case you're screamingly happy. Velti - trading under the symbol VELT - provides mobile marketing and advertising technology, to help advertising agencies and mobile operators get the world out.

Apparently, it's a hot spot, because as I write this, the stock is doing very well on day one .. let's see, up 23 percent from its 12 dollar a share starting price. The company tells me it reaches 2.5 billion consumers around the world, and has some 600 customers. Mobile advertising is catching on these days, as Apple and Google can attest. Investors seemed pleased with the idea of taking a risk with Velti, at least out of the gate.

So, if you're wondering about the appetite for tech IPOs, now that we finally seem to have a bunch of them, look no further. We've got one, and it's doing fine.

Scott will keep track of this one. You can track him on Twitter: @scottbudman

Indeed, strong right into the close. Even more impressive with the Nas finishing down 2.5%.

Bodes well for next week. Tenner on Monday?
