10/2/2017 20:24 | EJ:> There is one loophole in what you say in 63 above. The big £100K plus trades are usually institution to institution - However quite often I have found that where an institution is unable to find a trade buyer stock is sold slowly over weeks or even months so as not to cause a massive fall - that is unless they panic or need urgent liquidity which can offer PI's a great buying opportunity all else being OK. Even PI's with concentrated but large portfolios can have difficulty in selling down even moderate holdings near the top (that is if you are lucky to call the top !!) and may have to settle for nms or at a maximum of 2 to 3 times nms and trickle out over an extended period. | pugugly
10/2/2017 14:31 | It's not a big fall in the scheme of things.. The market looks like it is looking for stock..however let's see if we get some AT trades in..it can change things very quickly. This company will do well and the reference site at East Oak is fundamental to the company's future successes. I hear the news of EO have been very well received by those in the industry. | gac141
10/2/2017 12:33 | Thanks E-J. As you know, I read what you have to say with great respect, as part of my attempt to actualise the wisdom of acknowledging the wisdom of 'wisest is he who knows he knows nothing'. I readily admit to my ignorance of most of the shares I follow, since my decide to invest is mainly catalysed by the chart I see, though I like to feel familiar with the underlying narrative. TERN, like VLS, is about technology combining with greater forces of demand and supply. But I would rather have my data encrypted than not, and so it's a job that someone will need to do. Likewise VLS: rubbish is now so universal, and the technology here, so well vindicated (apparently!) that it is just a matter of the economics of producing it. The demand for waxes and aeroplane fuel, is not set to decrease, but airlines will no doubt be increasingly minded to source it from clean technologies, as should we all. (Hence my new interest also in HYR). I don't even think that Trump will manage to reverse the trend towards green energy, despite his best attempts to ignore the problems that it might seek to address. But don't get me started on that one! | brucie5
10/2/2017 12:20 | Oh dear that's a big fall, one of £68000 seems to have pushed a lot of smaller holders out too. Hoping that's the last of it, or for more news on Monday. | runthejoules
10/2/2017 12:07 | Brucie5 o/t was invested in HYR some years ago, liked tech but had doubts about board, maybe things have changed will take another look. TY | realfreeloader
10/2/2017 11:54 | Re strategic alliance with TRI, includes animation of their reformer, don't think it's been posted previously. hxxp://www.greencarc | realfreeloader
10/2/2017 11:43 | Peeps invested here might also be interested to check out Hydrodech (HYR), which has just released an update, resulting in what could be the very early days of a significant chart reversal. I write this, not just to bring the share to a larger audience, but because the space in which it operates, namely, recycled oil, has a similar quality, and even attracts green credits. The technology, to produce 'clean' transformer oil also seem to be well tested in Australia, and patent protected. While market for its product is also set to grow sharply over coming years. Check it out, I'd be interested to hear your comments on the HYR board, which is currently a highly minority interest! Needless to say, I hold, having just bought in yesterday. | brucie5
10/2/2017 10:43 | For info- Not centric to Velocys but increasing prices will help. Oil prices rose more than 1 percent on Friday after the International Energy Agency (IEA) reported record initial compliance by OPEC members implementing last year's landmark deal to curb output in an effort to prop up global oil prices. Members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) made production cuts in January equating to 90 percent of the agreed volumes, a record high for the first month of implementation for such deals, the IEA said in a report. (Graphic: here) "Some producers, notably Saudi Arabia, (are) appearing to cut by more than required," the agency said. Global benchmark Brent crude LCOc1 was up 66 cents at 56.29 a barrel by 0938 GMT, touching a session high of $56.39 a barrel shortly after the report's publication. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures CLc1 traded up 56 cents at $56.56 a barrel. The IEA, which advises industrial nations on energy policy, said that if current compliance levels are maintained, the global oil stocks overhang that has weighed on prices should fall by about 600,000 barrels per day (bpd) in the next six months. Official OPEC compliance data is due to be released next week. | gac141
09/2/2017 18:34 | Gac141 - Can't see any comment on Malcy's website yet re interview with David Pummell - you quoted him as saying most interesting, did you email him about it? Also, I can see the delayed trade from yesterday 15:32:13 98.50 171,155 OK 90.50 92.50 the offer price at that time was 94 so how are the bid / offer prices calculated when a delayed trade is declared? from the trades I can see in this case it would be a buy, but generally can the bid / offer quoted be used with confidence to determine if a trade is a sell or buy? as I am never sure. thanks | realfreeloader
09/2/2017 15:25 | David Pummell talks about the huge success of ENVIA (East Oak) and what it means for the industry as a whole... | gac141
