01/2/2017 20:22 | Obviously this is just my point of view we all have different criteria /goals when investing / trading. | realfreeloader
01/2/2017 17:49 | Let's face it guys, you'd still rather sell as the market steps down, then buy 20% cheaper, then have 20% more money at the end though wouldn't they? I too am looking a few years in the future, hence wide stops. The interesting thing was that I tried to top up after the drop ('When there's blood on the floor, that's the time to buy') and couldn't get any, through H&L anyway. I am still trying, as a novice investor, to work out what's happened and how the market works, and my own strategy within it | runthejoules
01/2/2017 17:43 | Yeah has the balloon burst...RSI 70 still looking over brought, buyers coming in below 50 maybe, or news before then....may slip some more... | beeezzz
01/2/2017 16:39 | Yes quite, I agree and unless something happens to fundamentally alter the business case I will remain a holder on the probability that in 5 years time the share price will be substantially higher than today. | realfreeloader
01/2/2017 16:31 | It certainly can. This is a probability game not one of certainties. | tongosti
01/2/2017 15:54 | runthejoules - I am not professing to be an expert but this really was to be expected after yesterdays rise on no news. This stock is very tightly held approx 60% II,s and RA 29.5%. MM,s have to make a market if everyone bought and never sold the price would never rise. At some point either buyers or sellers are exhausted. Raise the price people sell, get buyers. Lower price people sell get buyers. Emotions are one thing but also time frame. I am looking at 5 years from now so will today's drop really be relevant by then? | realfreeloader
01/2/2017 13:06 | Boy I wish I'd moved my stops up tight, but I'm still in the game - either very tight or very loose, that's AIM. Would not have got a good price on that trip down the staircase - you can just see the stops being hit... | runthejoules
01/2/2017 12:49 | Some might be more suited to a National Savings a/c!! | goodgrief
01/2/2017 12:31 | Is there enough blood on the floor yet? | runthejoules
01/2/2017 12:31 | EJ must be selling the rest of his SIPP holding. | sheep_herder
01/2/2017 12:17 | Only a small holder, so I'm Waiting for the bottom of this earthquake then I'll top up. Learning to control my emotions, what's already happened has already happened! Don't Panic! | runthejoules
01/2/2017 10:45 | You could do a lot worse than be invested in Velocys at the moment. A slight pause but any sustained buying will push this up. I look forward to all the updates from David and his team. Exciting times for both us and them! | gac141
01/2/2017 09:06 | Thanks Erogenous zones. I've been a terrible, disastrous and jumpy investor this last year, investing in things too early, pulling out then watching them leap up - it's good to hear a sensible strategy. I'm getting better though, this is the only solely-growth stock I own now apart from some very slow moving lithium. I intend to DMOR on vodafone this afternoon. I took some profits too but way too early - should have realised that there would be profit-taking at the psychologically-impo | runthejoules
31/1/2017 17:45 | Yeah...EJ best wait for news now...something is brewing and by the looks of it, not bad IMO... | beeezzz
31/1/2017 16:40 | EJ, your sons might be putting their boot up your erogenous zone! | sheep_herder
31/1/2017 16:18 | thanks fluky that's useful. | fern5
31/1/2017 16:17 | do you think it could be different to ENVIA? | fern5
31/1/2017 15:48 | I know nothing- but this has the hallmark of imminent news. | gac141
31/1/2017 13:36 | fern5: VLS and FT use both a cobalt based catalyst for the Fischer Tropsch synthesis which means that the product distribution is similar and there is no much difference in product quality either, As to the differences: the catalyst activity of the VLS catalyst is higher and the reactor technologies are different. VLS uses a microchannel reactor and EFT uses a smaller diameter tube classical multi-tubular reactor. This leads to the economics: the VLS catalyst and the reactor are more expensive. By how much is difficult to gauge at this stage. Since the VLS catalyst and the VLS reactor manufacturing are new, one can expect that over time that differential will decrease. | fluky
31/1/2017 12:16 | Try following up the patents if you want more depth to your understanding. | haydock |
