15/12/2016 10:41 | That RNS was a right load of rubbish ! Very badly constructed. Now I know why I find this interview exciting & why to me it should be more relevant. I have seen the future! It's a long slow difficult future up to now, but the timing now is much better than it was in 2010, when this project began. hxxp://www.mfdevco.c This will be the future for VLS & soon. MFdev is the most active part of the dead in the water, until recently, Eneg, which I still own as Nu-og. They have little skin in the game, only a catalyst, in the consortium. Vls will clearly have a much larger part to play, & more financial & patent muscle. MF dev is moving forward, & the consortium has a new leader, but is also on a much larger scale & more N Sea oil based with all those implications. The signings could see interest in VLS, it was recently explosive for Nu-og. The mkt is very ready for this type of story. Perhaps somebody should drop VLS a line & tell them the job could be half done already if they joined MF. DEV ? hxxp://www.mfdevco.c | haydock
15/12/2016 10:07 | Rns dull boring, much of the same, very poor attempt !!! BRR media, a different story, organised real aims & new businesses. Brilliant. More media work & signings please. | haydock
14/12/2016 18:21 | I hope so... | fluky
14/12/2016 18:12 | Well it doesn't seem like you will have to wait long... | gac141
14/12/2016 17:22 | It is just smoke and mirrors until they give the names of the 8 partners. | fluky
14/12/2016 14:10 | 8+ new partnerships...prett Yes it would be good to understand how big these 29 plants will be but that is pretty significant. | gac141
14/12/2016 13:35 | gac141: where is the meat? I wish Pummell had given more details about slide #12 (hxxp://velocys.com/ | fluky
14/12/2016 11:45 | Thanks for that gac. Sounds very exciting but I'm out. There are plenty of better and faster growing opportunities out there right now. Will leave it 6-12 months and get back in. I think this will be a long term growth story and hope I don't miss the boat. Will hope to take a bigger stake at a date closer to earnings visibility. | sheep_herder
14/12/2016 11:17 | David Pummell with more meat on the bone.. Feeling a bit less quiet and excited to hear about these partners in the near term! | gac141
14/12/2016 09:14 | Be interested if you could amplify these thoughts when you are less buzzed! | meijiman
14/12/2016 03:53 | Sorry, a little buzzed, but all points remain valid. Ps. Look at the 3 "exceptional" items from the sep report: 1. Loss from trying to buy into someone else's technology 2. Ventech canceling their orders so we get a "gain" from their canceling and we don't have to provide 3. Some really complicated we invested and because no one else invested and we now own more than we should given how much we invested we have a gain All rock star adjustments | melktest
14/12/2016 03:37 | Gents, I admire the conviction to a great end market, but ask yourselves a few things: how could you have been less positive on the envia plant than including one bullet point saying "commissioning is ongoing"? why would waste management, nrg, ventech not wanted to have participated in the february investment of 12mm? why in the world would the only party investing be the only party without money? why? because they are the only party that NEEDS to invest. obviously they all had the option, all JVs would include preemptive rights, and yet all decided to pass and I can't remember the last time I've heard any of their names. why on earth is every opportunity they talk about a large plant since velocys has the "micro" technology? what about the current plan has anything to do with being "smaller"? by the way, fluky, am impressed with you. you actually have a pretty damn good judgement on what's going on from what I've seen | melktest
14/12/2016 00:18 | fern5: regarding the production of diesel and gasoline. The Fischer-Tropsch synthesis produces a product slate which is difficult to modify. The cobalt catalyst process used by Velocys produces approx 15% gasoline, 20 % diesel, 50% waxes and the remainder are gaseous products, methane to butanes. One can hydrotreat the waxes to produce more gasoline and diesel but one cannot convert gasoline and diesel to waxes. | fluky
13/12/2016 23:14 | Thanks visionon thats helpful. | fern5

13/12/2016 16:58 | Fluky: I concur with your cash estimates, and in fact the strategy RNS does talk about building a sustainable business i.e. it clearly isn't yet. On the matter of 'clean diesel' raised by another poster below are a couple of interesting links. Illustrated by the photo in this BB header. | visionon
13/12/2016 16:16 | I asked about the operational start-up of the ENVIA plant on the 29th of November and received the following response; In answer to your question, I cannot provide detail on timescales as these are confidential to ENVIA. However the JV is still targeting first product by the end of 2016 and an update on this will be made in due course. | fern5
13/12/2016 15:28 | Visionon: my estimate was and is January as well for the plant to be operational. In order to reach the operational phase, they should be starting up the units now. The fact that the news release mention that they are still in the commissioning phase points at issues. Your post raises also another issue: cash. Including the drawdown of the loan and the estimated reduced cashburn they should have about £10-12M cash at hand at the end of 2016. This means that they will be out of cash in the 3rd quarter, maybe even earlier if the ENVIA startup runs into major issues. | fluky |
