What date are the results out guys? I know it must be anytime now....are we expecting a good report or is it just old news at this stage and more about the next few months going forward with the opening looming closer!!

Fluky is right Solena were the problem and they did not have the right backing.

Although Greensky went AWOL I believe there are still very smouldering embers here and Velocys are in the talks. It would not surprise me to see something about this in the next 6 months or so. "Greensky" as a concept is far from over.

Don't forget Velocys has done an engineering study with Ervington (Abramovich) for a similar sort of project. I asked at the AGM in June if this was near term and the answer from Susan was no. But things move on... Ervington seemed pretty keen to buy up to the maximum recently and they are a pretty shrewd investment model.

I know Red Rock are certainly investigating to get the funds to support the Woody Biomass plant in Oregon and that might be very close.

And there is the study Velocys has carried out in Asia..

With the East Oak plant hopefully built and in the process of being commissioned we should be producing there in the next few months.

Plus what do we not know that David has referred to several times in previous announcements...

I think there is plenty to get excited about finally after a very very long wait.

To be fair, the failure of the GreenSky project has nothing to do with Velocys. Solena over promised, under delivered and went bankrupt.

If we had kept our focus on things still based from the UK we would be flying by now. - Lots of relatively small operational successes bringing in useful revenue and doing our marketing for the future - We, so far, have forgotten that 'small scale' is our main attraction to the market.- How on earth we let the BA city Airport project drift away in favor of the USA fracking market is dreadful! - Big shame!

I agree Velocys has under-delivered certainly in the past but I do believe this is coming to a head and we have real hope that East Oak will be producing in the next few months..Certainly by year end. Red Rock seem to be getting all their ducks in a row and this project in Asia is getting some attention so maybe something from that. If all these come to fruition, and I understand the scepticism, the share price will be very different from the values of today. If you don't believe it then exiting is probably best.

What is not needed is more Lipski style waffle. There has been so much talk here and no delivery. Something has to give. For anyone who invested in Oxford Catalysts this is now a completely different proposition. Is it a better one -I have no idea.......

You guys do what you want. I will certainly be sticking around for the at least the next 3 months. I think it wise to at least hear what they have to say and update on progress, at the interim's, which are 2 weeks away. However sell if you want. No problem with that.

I think the real problem here is that what was sold to investors was the dream that you could roll up with a containerised F-T system and easily and cheaply start turning wasted gas into profitable oil. That was certainly what I envisaged a long time ago when I bought in.

In practice, the oil isn't profitable, the system doesn't really fit in a container, and you can't just do it because it needs endless permitting.

Now, it seems there are the same overheads and associated costs as with a much larger gas processing system, but without the same volume of production and concomitant profits.

It may work for RA in the wilds of Siberia, but elsewhere, in the nimby world the rest of us occupy, I fear the business model is fatally flawed.

Don't blame you. Management here seem oblivious to shareholders -months and years go by and nothing of tangible value seems to be delivered aside from salaries and perks for the Board and the occasional fund raise to keep the show on the road.

Further to my post 2842, patience now gone, and selling out. Mr. Abramovitch can have the whole kit and caboodle as far as I'm now concerned. Feel free to bet against me and buy the holdings I'm about to put back on the market. Good luck in the future, but either you don't need the money, don't bother about making profits, or have the patience of Job, maybe due to thinking such good science and green credentials will one day reap their just rewards. I hope you live that long, lol. Bye.

I am hopeful we will get news on several fronts in the next 2-3 months. I have done a fair amount of research and I am confident of Red Rock coming to fruition soon and the interim results will give David an opportunity of appraising us on progress.

It isn't a grant it reads to me as the equivalent of the feed in tariff, they will get credits when up and running for some of the power that is generated as part of the system used in GTL and which will then be used for running the plant as opposed to having to use it from an outside supplier. It has nothing to do with convincing anyone of the value of the technology. It's what they envisage will be a by product of the process.

gac - interesting post. I note that the board submission by officers concentrated almost entirely on the waste heat generation process (a well-established technology) taking GTL as a given! Velocys and others in the GTL industry may still have some way to go in convincing policy makers, bureaucrats and politicians of the value of their technology.

'Velocys are selling treasury shares to EI' So where have these treasury shares appeared from? all previous RNS state "The Company does not currently hold any shares in treasury" and they only have shares in treasury if they have previously bought some back. They don't appear like magic so what are you talking about?
