ELBAN,

Thanks for that.

You should check out SHG where start of production has been delayed and I am not overly impressed with the way in which news has been related to investors.

I've been spoilt with MML and their up front style, which leaves investors in little doubt of what is happening whether it be good or bad. Trying to bury bad news ends up being self defeating as then good news isn't believed either.

Cheers,
Niels

nielsc,

I do not short - always too risky.

I made a lot of money here - but only because I was one of the first to realise the Dave Paxton was spinning lies all the time. That enabled me to get out before most of the bad news.

Basically, as an AIM investor, I despise all the AIM managers who make totally fake forecasts, lie through their teeth, take large salaries and shaft small shareholders. I have made a lot of money from investing in the AIM market - my main problem is always trying to avoid liars and frauds.

Paxton is not the worst - but he is one of the easiest to see. His record of forecasting is so poor that you have to conclude that either he never believed it or he is a complete moron. Given that his spin is usually so good, I do not believe that he lacks intelligence.

The VGM mine has clear potential - that cant be denied. But this management have shown that even with record gold prices, they can not make a profit.

ELBAN,

Are you shorting VGM or are you just a previous VGM investor who has it in for Paxton?

Cheers,
Niels

Everything looking good for a big increase in profits this year.

Big increase in profits. LOL PMSL A washed up old mine and a broke company. Just the sort of rubbish you would buy ELBAN. Sorry guys but that looser has bought this your doomed.

ELBAN - 1 Apr'11 - 15:24 - 3012 of 7655

I should have probably phrased that better - a big increase in their monthly profits on an ongoing basis will occur sometime within the next few months and will then be sustained for the forseeable future.

emiflint,

"a washed up old mine" -- I take it that you are refering to the drainage of North Royal.

"a broke company" -- doesn't seem very likely after the recent placing. Accounts probably not your strong point.

"your doomed" -- very poor english. Back to school for you, young lady.

hazl what kind of company are you used to working for if you think being engulfed by floodwater and rockfalls down a mineshaft does not usually merit a trip to hospital ..... why is that looking after their staff ?

If you are short, I'd close up.. the price is v v v v low, the RNS is reassuring, and the price will rocket today.

I have bought more, though the qty of exposure for me is getting ridiculous.

10th August 1945 Dave Paxton reporting from Japan:

In response to excessive speculation in the media and by shareholders

Yesterday a small explosion caused some minor scorching damage to some unimportant buildings in the town of Nagasaki.

As far as we believe our forecasts for production will be unaffected.

We expect that approximately two days work will be lost.

janeyboy. Investors will reach their own conclusions. They don't need you scare mongering here and posting 19 to the dozen, nearly every post shouting, for days and weeks on end.

By the way what are your other aliases as janeyboy has only been in use for 3 months. Why did ADVFN ban you under your previous alias/s?

No Material Effect...so proabbly less than 3% of targeted production

Vatukoula Gold Mines plc

("Vatukoula" or "the Company")

Update on Operations

Vatukoula, the Fijian based gold producer, today responds to the share price movement amid speculation of excessive water ingress at the Company's Vatukoula gold mine.

Due to effects of the recent heavy rainfall in Fiji, the country's infrastructure has been impaired. As a result some of our employees whom live outside of the Vatukoula and Tavua communities have been unable to attend work or have had to attend to their homes.

Ingress of water into the mine has rendered some minor areas inaccessible but otherwise production areas remain unaffected.

On Sunday evening water ingress into the Smith Shaft carried debris into the shaft which at the time was transporting 11 miners in a man-riding cage to the underground workings and in the process causing minor injuries. All of the injured miners were taken to the neighbouring medical clinic.

David Paxton, CEO of Vatukoula Gold Mines, commented:

"To date, we believe that there has been no material effect on the production forecasts as a result of the ongoing rains or the minor accident in the shaft."

III GOOD POST

Tue 17:13
Sell Re: There is NO Flooding at Vatukoula
ORAC1
fish12,

it is entirely true that the management said that they only lost two days due to the flooding.

But do the facts bear this out?

This was a time of ramp up in the restart of production - and yet the amount of tonnes mined fell from 67k in the previous quarter to 47k in the quarter with the flood (and a full month of this quarter was not affected by the flood).

If they did the previous average in the first month (22k tonnes) then they must have only managed a total of 25k tonnes in the two months after the flood -- seems like more than 2 days lost to me.

It took them another 5 quarters to bring the tonnes mined back up to the level before the flood.
On reopenning a mine, you would expect a progressive increase in production quarter on quarter - the exact opposite of what actually occurred.

You can believe the management or you can use common sense - the choice is yours.
