The Company is in advanced discussions with a replacement nominated adviser which it expects to engage on, or before, 31 January 2017. Should a replacement nominated adviser not be appointed on or before 31 January 2017, its ordinary shares will be suspended from trading on AIM for a period of up to 30 days pending such appointment, following which, should a replacement nominated adviser not be appointed, Vast's admission to trading on AIM will be cancelled.

So as I see it, they have until 31 January and even if suspension happens, they still have another month to sort out.

This is getting a bit silly now.
There should be no real issue with enlisting a new Nomad - its no different than switching accountants.
A lot of hassle but manageable.
To allow this to run so close to the wire and undermine the share price to such an extent is just poor management, but Roy has made a lot of poor calls recently.

Get it sorted and get an update out pronto please!

If these "advanced discussions " weren't concluded we would have heard?

It's quite possible that the location of Vasts assets are requiring a more thorough due diligence by a prospective Nomad, therefore taking longer.Keeping my fingers crossed for all the holders

It could well be that people closer to the action and 'in the know' are buyers here, the volume has been well above average, big sells are being absorbed and large buys going through. I have a feeling it will probably come good here, but the delay is quite inexplicable.

I'm gobsmacked at how well Vast's share price has held up under the circumstances (impending delisting from AIM). You shareholders have balls of steel! But by now you surely realise that either: a. Vast's previous RNS's etc. have contained misrepresentations and lies, which is why no Nomad will take on this company; or b. Vast's management are completely incompetent for allowing this situation to fester for so long. Either way up, surely it's a case of running for the exit whilst you still can? Or am I missing something?

Let's hope so, I bottled it earlier this week, I must admit, but am happy to pay more if a Nomad gets appointed, or otherwise will chase some other fairy tales on AIM. Sods law will probably mean tomorrow is the Nomad announcement ;-)

Totally agree NYB, could go either way. Good luck all holders and you'll deserve the reward should a Nomad be appointed on time.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that the resignation of the CFO late last year shouldn't be overlooked in conjunction with the Nomad resignation and still feel they are somehow connected. If I was invested here or was thinking about it, these two events so close together would be a red flag.I have my fingers crossed it all turns out OK for the holders here and hope I'm not reading that people have lost thousands in a few months time.

Post 7146I would more inclined to say a nomad has been approached as any appointment would have already been announced to the marketThe nomad then does due diligence which can take several weeks - if they have not completed the due diligence by the 31st the shares are suspendedIf they agree to be the nomad before the end of feb the shares come out of suspension - happy daysIf they chose not to act for what ever reason they choose then it we'll be game over as any other nomad would not have the time to complete their own due diligence before the end of febUnless anyone has an inside word then it really is a big gamble waiting for the rns

I texted RP on the afternoon that this nomad debacle was announced. To his credit, he texted immediately back saying that the appointment would not be a drawn out affair. Needless to say, i fully expected it all to be done and dusted by now...squeaky bum time!!!

Isn't it obvious that, either:
a) there is some problem with the company which means they can't get a Nomad. (E.g. outright falsehoods in previous RNS's, or maintaining a fiction that they control assets that they actually don't).
b) the management are incompetents for having let this situation fester for so long.
To me this share is a clear "sell".

@ BERNIE ... i think thats sound advice. I really want RP and the board to get this sorted asap. I would have hoped given the advanced discussions this should be wrapped up by now to alleviate converns. RP is back in london today as per info from one of the posters on LSE, that could mean a something or it could mean nothing. Gla.

A nomad has been appointed, they need to complete the necessary due diligence work obviously. That has been the case pretty much since the 16th december rns. I sold my entire holding in two tranches at both .37 and .35 ... will buy back once appointed. Just as much as i want to hold its aim, and i will personally wait for the appointment.

Ginko I think you have said it pretty spot on. I have spoken to the company several times and they don't give anything away. I have been here longer than most and have now sold 80% of my shares. I held several million at higher prices than this. I have always been a strong defender of Vast. However to me now it is an out and out gamble. That's why I have sold most. If Nomad comes in then I may buy some back as I still believe it is a great company with great assets. Just lost faith in the management really. Yes I will pay higher than now but rather that than lose the lot. To be honest I think it is taking way too long to appoint the Nomad. The company talk about due diligence taking time. Sure but how hard is it to get a new Nomad if there isn't something amiss? Sorry just not convinced but hope for all holders that it turns out well.....no investment advice. Just my thoughts.......

Toe back in the water here, still massive risk re the nomad (and I don't believe that the company has said anything material to anyone because they are not allowed to) but the potential upside makes a small amount worth the possible total loss of funds gambled because that is what it is; just a gamble.
