20/3/2013 21:32 | Well I hope IAE share price will recover once takeover complete and unhappy VPP shareholders have exited. At the moment many in the market believe IAE is paying too much for VPP. However, is the market crediting the tax losses that VPP is bringing to the party. | red ninja
20/3/2013 17:56 | all quiet on the badship VPP. The deal from IAE looks a shocker now. Chances of a counter fading, what can you do? Who from the old crowd is still holding? Ohisay- loving the BLVN ride. | utrecht_00
19/3/2013 18:08 | cheyne incresed holding | eipgam
19/3/2013 17:40 | they may have to if their share price keeps collapasing. This deal is looking very poor now. | utrecht_00
19/3/2013 16:16 | That appears unlikely given no counter offer. | red ninja
18/3/2013 22:05 | they may be thinking that ithaca will have to up their offer? | frazboy
18/3/2013 21:54 | Cheyne have been shorting IAE and increasing the VPP long do you think its typical arbitrage trade or are they thinking another bidder could emerge? | praipus
17/3/2013 17:30 | when is the deal expected to be complete - i.e the voting, end of March? | utrecht_00
15/3/2013 23:52 | ohisay- I am in BLVN and have been for a while now. Its looking exciting. | utrecht_00
15/3/2013 23:06 | I'm giving PB most of next week then I'm selling. I really don't want to be in IAE given its debt position at the end of this year - if it all works out OK but Stella is a potential accident waiting to happen (given how they're funding the VPP takeover). I've been buying Bowleven and Kentz. | ohisay
15/3/2013 22:12 | Cheyne Capital Management increasing VPP long holding to 5.7% Tracking the rest of Cheyne Capital Management's trades on the WAM thread:) | praipus
15/3/2013 20:05 | well it looks like IAE have seen off JEC so if no other offer comes in (not likely now) this is a done deal. I have decided to take the cash and will hold the IAE stock for a while as it seems there is a chance IAE will get taken out in time. eipgam - thanks I will take a look. | utrecht_00
15/3/2013 16:38 | Seeing as you are talking about ways to invest your vpp funds, have you noticed that the dep chairman of INTU is spending millions on their stock since the closed period ended and they have been relegated from FTSE 100(they were CSCG). Any thoughts? PS I do not hold | eipgam
14/3/2013 20:00 | Xcite. Not following it closely, but have noticed the recent rise. I didn't like the first flow test, when they didn't produce enough to persuade the doubters. I know things have moved on, but they haven't got enough cash to develop Bentley. Like other minnows, they've got the begging bowl out. What deal will they get? | ed 123
14/3/2013 19:29 | Ed- yep they both could happen. But my position in OCDO isn't all that big. Ah the joys of margin. BTW OCDO never made a profit in 13 years, has debt more than cash at bank and is valued at 5 times VPP. Nuts. Thoughts on Xcite? | utrecht_00
14/3/2013 18:42 | Gulp! Suppose Ithaca loses the vote? Valiant plunges to 300p and Ocado carries on rising to 200+p? Both unlikely events but ..... | ed 123
14/3/2013 16:11 | Ed- btw I did use a few of the funds from VPP (ones I don't have yet, oops) to short Ocado today on the spike. | utrecht_00
14/3/2013 10:05 | Sirookie, I'm also tempted to top up with AEY when funds become available, but have to say the idea they will develop 100% of Fyne on their own would be the key reason to hold me back. There are plenty of other options to consider as well - the whole sector is pretty lowly rated at the moment, but you will know that given the 460p offer for VPP ! McD | mcdougall1
13/3/2013 22:11 | sirookie, thanks. BTW for what its worth I know a few people who are very bullish on AEY. | utrecht_00
13/3/2013 21:30 | I can understand your rationale utrecht! Best wishes with any investment you may decide upon going forward. Great idea about listing your assets on AIM to pick them up cheaper bbluesky, not to mention picking up a generous salary along the way to sweeten the deal! | sirookietrader
13/3/2013 19:14 | Is anyone here considering redistributing their funds to AEY? If AEY get their Fyne asset producing at predicted levels, they would be in a position not too dissimilar to that of which VPP is in now, in terms of reserves and production. VPP being taken over for £200 million vs current AEY cap of £60 million. (AEY also has significant tax losses of circa $200 million) | sirookietrader |
