14/1/2011 14:46 | Westhouse view today; UEM posted a strong absolute return in 2010. The NAV gained 33.3% on a total return basis, relative to a 22.6% return from the MSCI Emerging Markets index. Long-term performance is also very strong. Since inception in July 2005, the NAV has annualised a total return of 15.3%. Despite the strong short- and long-term performance and the income component of the fund - the current yield is c3% - the shares continue to trade at a discount. This seems even more anomalous when considering that most income paying Emerging Markets and Asian investment funds are trading on small premiums, despite slightly lagging UEM in absolute return terms over the last five years. We believe that the anomalous rating is in large part due to a misunderstanding by the market of what is, in our view, a unique and attractive proposition in the emerging markets space. | davebowler

23/12/2010 12:30 | WSON11 - WILSON SONS DR3 R$ 31.50 (12/22) Open: R$ 30.60 High: R$ 31.65 Low: R$ 30.51 This is up about 10% since the start of December, whereas the Wilsons Oceans Holdings, the parent company is only up around 2.5%. Wilsons Ocean Holdings own around 58% of Wilson Sons, so a bit of a gap opening up between the Sp's. Could be due a catchup. dyor etc.. | energiser01
