Bloomberg talking heads seem to have it that the oil price is likely to dip for the next couple of weeks and then rebound slowly into the US driving season, potentially reaching 70 dollars a barrel during the summer.

It will then fall back again towards $55-60 levels as the shale versus OPEC producer battles continue.

Make of that what you will of course but, if the first part came true a June shipment for UEN around $70 would be rather healthy for our balance sheet whatever additional amounts we do or do not pump and bring online.

I still reckon the P2 reserves increase is the key to our re-rating if and when it is announced...

Not my day, just got back from picking up the car, not got it.
First thing I noticed it had the small low spec wheels on instead of the high spec bigger wheels. I refused it and left them with it to sort out.
Got to go back in a few hours when they call to tell me the right ones are on.
I don't know if it as a genuine mistake or they were trying it on with the old boy.

Gregpeck, well done with HUR. Have you ridden the whole five bagger since this time last year?

Now if that happened here I'd find it acceptable ;)

Canny, that's cleared that one up then. When I asked to keep it clean was about 2008-9 time and seem to remember she/you said was learning a child and was reading comments on here. I did get the impression it was a lady. I pick up the new car about noon time.
I think we are going to tread water a few weeks yet with this one.

We believe that the GLA is a single hydrocarbon accumulation, making it the largest undeveloped discovery on the UK Continental Shelf.

Boys my large HUR holding looks like christmas has come...

Could be some more of these on the back of it :D

Keep your eye on HUR tomorrow though as (to quote the FT)

"Find adds to series of wells that may be biggest beneath UK waters this century"

I will sleep well...

And the guys that are also buying here have shed loads :D

Lol Canny, so you've obviously yet to become disillusioned with AIM yourself yet then?

I too have really little time for this particular investment swamp that needs draining and simply hope the occasional bull run we see on AIM stocks will finally come to me one day with the few I remain invested in.

Like UEN, because all the signs are aligned for a significant re-rating assuming the company is able to convince the wider market and as of now that requires a really good reserves update and increased production numbers from their latest assets.

Only then can we see if calmtrader is right and the better, more benign shall we say, view of investing Russian minnows is to be rewarded.

At present this remains a loss making investment and probably needs to double for me to shed my own disillusionment!

Evening Chav,A bit of both really. The ADVFN account was opened by my partner many years ago. I used to read posts using her account, but never posted myself. She got a bit disillusioned with investing, especially AIM and stopped investing and using the ADVFN account. I've kept her account alive posting under her pseudonym of 'canny lass' for many years now. I missed your post about keeping the language clean. Thanks for your chivalry. LOL. I hope you are enjoying your new car. I'm hoping UEN will bring me similar privileges next year. I've put all my eggs in four baskets at the moment, UEN, SOLO, EDL and HER. Also hoping to possibly invest more in MTA when they relist on the Swedish market early April. Just need to see first what happens with the relist.

Calm, so UEN got a loan at 15% just weeks ago?

And what plan is coming together? I don't follow, except you just mean Russia is becoming more stable and attractive generally as a result of this and other recent moves both economic, fiscal and monetary, political?

The move down to 5.25 seems to be in play as I suggested earlier but without a very good broker to tighten the spread the likes of us can't really make much out of it. Only Canny with his millions and nouse perhaps?!

Grey here today Wanna. Cleaning out the greenhouse as it is warm in there. Lol.

We'll have to beg to differ about the December improvement as that was, IMHO, the same as it was across the board in O&G plays, mostly related to first OPEC actually cutting production after many times of saying they would and not following through, and then Russia did the same.

Unanimity in the oil arena does wonders for investments in the sector and, was exactly what our BoD referred to in the infamous 'statement' RNS in January.

So that rise to 4p was simply reflecting the improved market conditions as our income from oil would be greater as the price of Brent went up 15%. The push in January which prompted the "know of no reason" announcement was what I am referring to as unlikely to be sector related.

If it was people in the know about things and potential here the BoD quelled it for whatever reasons. But if it was all genuine, and they are now ready with great updates on deals and production/reserve figures before the end of the quarter as intimated, just maybe the same two day (or one and a half before it was quoshed) will result.

Like I say, it is the outcome I want, not the means to the end! Right, back to put everything back in said greenhouse as rain coming in this evening.

i love it when a plan comes together

"the Russian Central Bank surprised markets when it unexpectedly cut interest rates by 25 bps to 9.75% (30 economists expected no change, 8 predicted a 25 bps cut), its first rate cut in four meetings or 7 months, as inflation, which has dropped from a peak of 17% to just 4.6% last month, appears to be under control, while growth is returning to the oil-dominated economy driven by the steady price of oil."

Traders, if they can get the spread, must be loving this. Seems a pullback to 5.25p before news is on the cards with the current price action?

Maybe then another zoom at least equivalent to the end of January surge from 4p to 6p in a couple of days?

We live in hope of some well received news for once here and not sell on the news type of action... :(
