29/9/2016 19:53 | Well we've not had a day like this for a while. Will we hold onto gains made today, history says most likely not but all the long term holders are hoping for a change. Having been here 6-7 years, yep not my best purchase, but results looks encouraging... Or better than anything for a while, increased acreage and reserves, 2 shipments a year I think it's fair to say we're in a better position then last year.Although it's fair to say RCT and Neft are fairly negative in their stance, us happy clappers need balance in an argument. So 2 questions RCT with the net debt this also includes the purchase of these new Co's with licences and net debt in June included the 6m short term loan, So surely that skews figures a little, but increased reserves and ability to do 2 tanker shipments a year is worth it? Tanker is about 8 m or something right? One last Q, I remember it must have been a couple of years ago both you and Neft posted you had bought albeit briefly. What changed from that point to now, where Uen are in a stronger position? | jiggsyboy
29/9/2016 19:09 | Quite obviously certain posters, who "only trade dividend paying oil companies", but have a very close interest in following this share, have been burned from the heady heights of 6-7 year ago and really can't stomach the fact that investors here, right now, may have found the bottom for this stock! Why do they care? I don't.Let's make some dosh!! | dynamoo
29/9/2016 18:34 | Why worry turner you not a shareholder ...stick to shell | calmtrader
29/9/2016 18:22 | Topicel, my main worry is the true underlying cash position. All the guff about EBITDA and net profit is smoke and mirrors. In last years interim results UEN gave the net debt figure as $4.9m. The figure in this years interims is $9.6m. This means they are losing cash at about $400k a month. I fear that all the other things they are doing are to detract from the basic fact that they are losing money. Hence why in the recent announcement about debt and working capital they have vastly increased the loan they are taking. | rcturner2
29/9/2016 18:10 | This s/be a great ride over the next 12-18 months.. | calmtrader
29/9/2016 17:32 | Calm, yours went up while I was typing mine, but yes. I don't think we will be reliant on Petraco anymore, I believe all borrowing is now through the arrangement with the bank. Just noticed the tight spread 3.00 - 3.25. Not had it that tight before. 500k deal marked late last off @ 3p. Put in green column. | chavitravi2
29/9/2016 17:26 | Topicel, with 325 barrels a day extra from the acquisition and a modern rig and equipment to go with it for 3yrs I don't think it's beyond the bounds of possibility for them to generate enough extra production. All the more so if they use that info they paid so much for to find sweet spots on the original site of survey and on the new site just acquired. Get a couple of gushers and two shipments a year and we have sound financing to do more drilling without borrowing. That's my take on it anyway. | chavitravi2
29/9/2016 17:15 | Topicel... does this answer your question? "We will now be able to make two rather than one shipment per year - the first in May and a second in September. This half year should therefore be the last in which our operations on the Island have accumulated large stock levels by the end of June, with the associated working capital requirements. " | calmtrader
29/9/2016 16:43 | Nice results. However, when are we going to cease taking a loan to see us through the year and paying interest out for the privilege to declare a profit at shipment time? Is that the purpose of two shipments now to reduce this expensive reliance on Petraco? Any thoughts, even RCT who no doubt doesn't see things ever being rosy here. Topicel PS - 10p would be very welcome Martyn9, but we would need the OPEC provisional agreement to be ratified later in the month as required and an oil price well north of $50 a barrel IMHO. | topicel
29/9/2016 15:32 | I am pleased. Peeps got over 10p not so long ago. Hope to see 7p before too long if Poo makes a signicant recovery. | philo124

29/9/2016 13:31 | Maybe the last chance to buy these at a fire sale rate? | martyn9
29/9/2016 13:29 | The bit I liked was that as part of the acquisition we have a modern drill and enough associated equipment for 3years. That is one big help to get more done and oil out hopefully in the identified sweet spots. Two shipments a year now is also going to help no end with having money in the bag rather than held doing nothing in tanks for long periods. I think you would have to be blind not to see that there is going to be increased production. | chavitravi2
29/9/2016 13:12 | RTC are discounting this bit"US$6.0 million loan provided by Petraco Oil Company Limited repaid in full, including accrued interest, post the successful completion of the annual tanker shipment from Arcticneft"surely not misleading, right? | paul the octopus
29/9/2016 13:04 | Far too undervalued now based on these figures,at least 10p on the cards at least.imo. | martyn9
