BOARD CHANGES

Universe Group plc (AIM: UNG.L), a leading developer and supplier of point of sale, payment and on-line loyalty systems, announces, with immediate effect, the appointment of Andrew Blazye as Non-Executive Chairman of the Group. Andrew joined the Board in May 2015 as a Non-Executive Director.

Robert Goddard has decided to step down from his position as Non-Executive Chairman and Director, a position he held for six years, during which he was central to guiding the Group through its turnaround and subsequent growth. This will allow him to pursue other business interests.

Robert Goddard said:

"It has been rewarding and enjoyable to have worked with Universe since 2011. During my tenure, we have refinanced, repositioned and reinvigorated the Group with a new management team. Our strong growth is testament to hard work by all, including our advisers, in a highly competitive market. The time is right for me to hand over the Chairmanship to Andrew whom I know is exactly what the Board needs.

I am proud of what has been achieved and leave a business that is much larger, stronger and healthier than when I joined. Stepping aside now as Chairman will allow me time to focus on my many other commitments. I wish all the Universe management, employees and customers every success for what is set be a very bright future."
