07/2/2011 15:10 | See UNV website for new presentation listed below. McCloskey presentation February 2011 Presentation (PDF - 2.45MB) | kayaks
03/2/2011 23:07 | yep, depends if you really meant 9000 UCL or 9000 SCR which went 10 to 1 then x2 (so you'd end up with 1800 UCL/UNV) | eibbor
03/2/2011 14:59 | delphoss there was a dilution though I think 10 to 1. | kayaks
03/2/2011 11:21 | Really? Nice surprise! Thanks. | delphoss
02/2/2011 20:30 | In AUD around 49c approx 30p per share so just over £2700 at last close. | eibbor
02/2/2011 20:05 | I had forgotten all about these. I have 9000 ucl shares ( from scr days)currently showing as valued at nothing with tdwaterhouse - can any one tell me how I work out what they are worth before I contact tdwaterhouse? Many Thanks in advance | delphoss
27/1/2011 14:56 | Rob, Many thanks. I will look up TD Waterhouse. | nightmare trader
25/1/2011 16:11 | Hi NT and Jer Sorry to butt in on your conversation, but I thougt I would give Jer another option. I hold UNV shares with Selftrade who can't trade them so I am going to transfer them to TD Waterhouse. It will only cost about $10 (pounds not dollars, in Vietnam at mo) and even if you hold them for a few years it won't cost a penny, providing they are worth over $5,000 (pounds). I hope this helps Regards Rob Ward | robward
25/1/2011 10:24 | NT - If you are not intending to sell I personally would let them transfer the shares to Barclays Wealth as when you do want to sell them you are going to have to use that type of broker to do the transaction - I appreciate that there is extra costs involved but hopefully the proceeds at that time will be well in excess of £10k!! | jervaulx
24/1/2011 21:19 | Jervaulx. Just had a letter from Barclays stating that they are unable to hold my UCL shares and they will either sell them or transfer them to Barclays wealth - at extra cost obviously! Do I have any other options? I take it that I can hold the share certificate although selling might prove difficult. I really see potential in UCL and I'm therefore not keen to sell even though my holding isn't massive (sub £10K). Open to ideas and would welcome direction.NT | nightmare trader
24/1/2011 12:53 | iiwarm - That is correct but all this can easily be done through a UK broker (probably not Barclays) but I do know that Barclays Wealth, for one, are capable of doing this and have done so for me on many occasions | jervaulx
24/1/2011 12:09 | It is my understanding that as this company is now listed on the ASX the shares are designated as foreign stock and as such cannot be held in a UK portfolio. Therefore they must be transferred to a Foreign Dealing Account to be traded. | iiwarm
19/1/2011 16:02 | Ah - DIdn't realise that Barclays were so popular. Used to be with E-Trade and they too were everything but helpful. Same, same it appears! iiwarm I will tweak when I have time. Thanks for all your help. | nightmare trader
19/1/2011 15:48 | Nightmare Trader - Barclays would do that! Your value however is still there. If you wanted to sell Barclays should be able to do it but otherwise transfer the share cert (or holding whatever form it is in) to a broker who will do everything for you | jervaulx
19/1/2011 15:46 | NT they don't know anything about the aus listing but are looking into it. An inquiry from you might spur them on a bit :) | iiwarm
19/1/2011 15:36 | Jervaulx. Many thanks. I am with Barclays and they list the share under UCL and my holdings, but no value. I take it that is as a result of the ASX listing? Apologies - Lots of dull questions! | nightmare trader
19/1/2011 15:31 | Nightmare Trader As far as I am aware there is no intention of coming to AIM in the foreseeable future but you should not have a problem selling your share if you wanted to on the ASX through any broker | jervaulx
19/1/2011 14:23 | Please excuse my ignorance but does anyone know when UCL will be listed in the UK as I have a few old SCR shares under the new banner of UCL sat in my portfolio. Thanks. | nightmare trader
19/1/2011 03:28 | Morning All A very strong start to the day for UNV, apparently another brokes has come out with a positive report on UNV with a NPV of $1.42 and a price target of $1.00. Hopefully the report will appear on the website. Regards Rob Ward | robward
18/1/2011 02:32 | Hi Tinvan Thanks very much for posting the link, I thought Tony came across very well, lets hope his execution is as professional as his image. I think UNV is a tuck away for a few years and forget it type of stock. I will sleep well. Kind Regards Rob Ward | robward
17/1/2011 17:49 | Yes, good interview by Tony Harwood. | tinvan
17/1/2011 02:50 | Good Morning All How things change, firstly I thought I had lost my investment in SCR but after a very long wait I now have 38000 UNV shares and am very happy with the direction of the business, however, after years of moaning about the terrible exchange between GBP-AUD, it has fallen from £1-$2.6 to £1-$1.6 today and now I find myself wanting the Pound to fall !! If we reached parity of 1-1 it would be fantastic when we sold and bought the cash back home, especially if UNV hit $1 which in the next year or so is fesible. Anyway, fingers crossed. Good Luck to all long suffering SCR holders who now are getting a return on their investment Best Wishes Rob Ward | robward
15/1/2011 15:17 | hashertu I got a letter from my broker H_L informing me of this transaction, and my shares duly doubled. You have to ask your broker again or contact Tony Harwood. | kayaks
09/1/2011 23:53 | I have only just caught up with the fact that this listing on the ASX has occurred and my old scr shares actually have some value. They are showing up in my Selftrade account, and although they don't deal on-line, they are telling me on the website that they can sell them over the phone. It's only a small amount but still nice to discover £481 I didn't think I had! I'm really annoyed I am unable to attend the presentation in London on Thursday: The directors of Regency Mines (AIM: RGM), Universal Coal (ASX: UNV) and Caza Oil & Gas (AIM, TSX: CAZA) will be presenting: Thursday the 13th January 2011, Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel, 35 Charles Street, Mayfair, W1J 5EB Universal Coal (ASX:UNV) Universal Coal is an emerging near-term thermal coal production and development company with assets in South Africa. The company has over 726 million tonnes (in situ before losses) of JORC compliant coal resources across three thermal coal projects: Kangala, Roodekop and Brakfontein and two coking coal projects: Berenice and Somerville, with a combined total exploration target of over 1Bt of coal. If anyone is able to attend, please report back here | tinvan |
