Looks as time to buy, unless attacked by Hammond later this month? He will need a few 'milk cows'.

Further drop today , looks illogical to me and happy to collect some more at 857. This is as safe as any long term stock . I won't be worrying if it drops further.

Not company specific - all the utilities have been bashed today - water, energy, telecoms.

Yep, I'd second that Eddie.
Quite happy sitting on a relatively safe dividend but what on earth is going on with the SP???????

Phil, I'm not saying UU. is the best money can buy, I was just saying that a 9% drop off in price because somebody points out what everybody can already see was a bit much.

SSE up as well, yield c.6%.

So at these prices the market men have decided that a 4.21% yield is worth buying into. A yield that is a lot safer than some of the other above UU. in the yield stakes like Lloyds, TUI, Sainsbury, Rio etc.
No brainer at these prices, buy and forget.

Just sold the lot i recently bought back after selling about half my holding before. In out in out and shaken all about, bought sold bought back sold all seemingly at the rightish time .... and yet i still think I'd have been better off not bothering since most other ftse companies have varied in a similar manner.

Funny how things shake out, I held through the div and was thinking "high 900's in a few months maybe?".
I haven't seen expert after expert being wheeled infront of the TV camers by the BBC and SKY to tell the country "The market is now higher than the high point before the EU vote, it looks like pensions aren't trashed after all, you won't all have to work until you're 80". Funny that, no conspiracy, no bias, they are after all "News" channels!!!!!

Sure , but sometimes there are times to attack, rather than defend . (Like England football last night?)

And it won't go Xd for another 6 months so plenty of time to buy back in maybe?
