Just noticed the draft determination response last week. Not sure what to make of it ; it appears to be a compormise. Probably good but suspect there are answers between the lines that I cannot read.

Looking a bit brighter this morning. The market seems to like the response. A big mountain to climb if we are going to get back to 900 any time soon, though.

October was always going to be volatile as Fed QE officially ended this months. From there, no one know where we head.Question now, is, apparently,when the first interest raise is..Q1'15 at the mo last time I looked.

This recent market weakness seems bizarre to me , it is almost as if the traders want to generate some business , and the bots propagate the trend.
I suspect few PIs are selling . Good luck to anyone who can profit from the share price weakness.

Tickling £8 this morning . Time to set some buy limits. ....later set at 803. Seems a good price to me , fair bit of uncertainty factored in I think.

I do not really see 800p as support, rather as a resistance level to the upward trend that was finally broken. The upthrust from January has broken IMHO and good support is only to be found around 650p. I think it is election worries that are buzzering this.

Bit wishy washy viz Ofwat frankly...but they submit their "Biz plan" 3rd October. Will be interesting to see what leaks prior to the December Ofwat decision.

Great company to invest in though long term. And we are very lucky in the Uk to have several Water/Waste companies that provide for our needs at a relative cheap price.Compare that to the Rest of the World where I wouldnt dream of drinking the tap water...

UU Q2 trading update. + news of tussle with Ofwat.

"In line" trading expected tomorrow.

As broker Liberum plainly put it at the time: "United Utilities is very much the bad boy in today's announcement. Ofwat has disallowed £990m of proposed costs from its business plan. No other company has even a quarter of that level. Severn Trent's number is close to zero.
