29/8/2009 14:23 | sleveen - 31 Jul'09 - 22:21 - 85 of 92 edit I think 130-150 is a little pessimistic but 150-170p is a probability. Oops got that a tad wrong....what a difference to sentiment a month makes | sleveen

02/8/2009 19:40 | Agreed--thats why I only bought back a small part of my holding at 221p I don't lay much store by what brokers say, but, the following might help. Umeco returned to buy from hold at Altium, target price rising to 260p from 230p Business Financial Newswire Broker reduced recommendation to hold yesterday (July 29) but share price fall now places it back into buy territory. 'It is our view that FY 2010E will constitute the low point in terms of profitability. On that basis, the current rating of 5.5x and 5.7x trough EBITDA and earnings respectively is too low for a company of this calibre.' Shares opened up 3.25p at 207p. 31/7/2009 22:21 | ozz I think 130-150 is a little pessimistic but 150-170p is a probability. I dont mind low prices in fact the lower the better (if i'm out) it allows me to buy cheaper. I just think that the IMS did not give enough positives to take the share price past the previous high of 247p in June which is a bad sign IMV. IMHO and DYOR | sleveen
31/7/2009 20:53 | slevene--are you expecting a return to circa 130/150? Or, as someone who has been in and out of this company for a considerable time--just had enough of low prices? They still have a commitment to the dividend and I have not seen any reference to the institutionals selling. Very low volumes being traded. -Group operating profits for the first half of the financial year in the range GBP 13.0 million to GBP14.0 million (H1 2008/09: GBP15.7 million). -- I think you will find that this company have a past record of Underestimating when it comes to GUESTIMATING.--I certainly hope so, and will be looking to buy more, if it should drop another 10/15%. | ozz2
29/7/2009 15:36 | Mild profits warning? I've sold. Outlook The global economic downturn is resulting in lower demand for our products and services compared to the first half of last year, which saw very buoyant demand, particularly in Composites. These conditions will likely result in Group operating profits for the first half of the financial year in the range GBP 13.0 million to GBP14.0 million (H1 2008/09: GBP15.7 million). | sleveen
23/7/2009 08:30 | nspal-fair comment, and good luck. I am often tempted myself, but seem to come unstuck if I try;for example-- I sold out most of my holdings on the rise from 130/186 at a profit. Only to come back off holiday to find it at 221, got back in at that. | ozz2
21/7/2009 15:39 | nspal, as sleveen says; it would seem to be normal procedure. The thing is though, even IF it was a shares only dividend, the dilution should add up to a dilution of 11p on ex-div day. And so, if you sell after xd you will still have the extra shares to sell at the lower price. Seems like you takes your choice situation to me. Personally I am hanging in there for what I hope to be a recovery of sorts, and a higher price. | ozz2
20/7/2009 17:49 | 2 trades of a £1 million today | bottompicker
20/7/2009 17:34 | This is a standard opportunity to offer current shareholders equity rather than cash, entirely at the discretion of the shareholder | sleveen
20/7/2009 17:30 | BottomPicker, I think additional trading volumes could be on PLUS, but it seems little activity from private investors as opposed to institutional. There was a very large late trade today. What concerns me is Item 12 on the AGM agenda "To empower the Directors to offer to shareholders new shares instead of all or part of any dividend". This, combined with the 2 months delay on final dividend may be prudent financial management, giving future powers, but as worded could mean no cash dividend paid in October. I feel the resolution needs a "with effect from" date added. Without that, I'm taking my profits now and will keep a close eye on developments. | nspal
03/7/2009 10:18 | Bought a lump yesterday, but a bit confused about the share price action. Looks like a straight line, bit unusual? Or just very little trading volume? | bottompicker
16/6/2009 23:52 | geraldus, the 11p final dividend is held but it is delayed by 2 months from previous years. "The Directors are proposing an unchanged final dividend of 11.0 pence making a total for the year of 17.5 pence per ordinary share (2008: 17.0 pence) an increase of 2.9 per cent. The final dividend is payable on 2 October 2009 to shareholders on the register on 4 September 2009." Ex-dividend - 2 September 2009 On record - 4 September 2009 Payment date - 2 October 2009 | nspal
14/6/2009 19:14 | back to sleveen | sleveen
11/6/2009 16:45 | Nice to see a least one company responding positively to decent results. | slevene |
