25/8/2005 20:06 | A nice read for anyone interested: Not much of a bid premium in the price seeing the bid valuation was touted at £300m - that would mean a 50% rise CR | cockneyrebel
22/8/2005 08:43 | Always said this was undervalued to think this company was 150 million not to long ago . On a personal level i would think this could stand 300 million outright with a bit of luck in the world cup next year . Still a long for me,no ramping intended | halogen

20/7/2005 05:53 | sports world is a company owned by Mike ashley who is in the sunday times annual rich list and he has a huge cash mountain. He doesnt usually take minority stakes in companies so if he is building a stake, then my guess is that he wants the company and probably has the clout to buy it as well. Recently over the past few years he has bought several brands and enhanced them by relicensining them out over th world. Definately worth a watch and maybe even a quick punt. I am game | samuelkahn

27/2/2005 19:11 | Any thoughts on its current position now,and how long does the contract last with england football team, with the world cup 16 months away. | halogen
20/1/2005 09:35 | A price drop today following the early termination of the Chelsea FC contract. I'm a bit puzzled as to why Umbro have effectively agreed to lose money on the potential revenue from the deal even though they will get £24.5 million. As it is Chelsea that wants to end the deal early then surely Umbro should have held out for more money. | superdealer |
