Ultra Electronics receives further AS9100 registration for aerospace quality management

Ultra Electronics announces that its Nuclear Sensors & Process Instrumentation (NSPI) business in Round Rock, Texas recently received its AS9100 registration. This international quality management standard recognises that Ultra Electronics has the necessary processes in place for the aerospace industry's demand for safe, reliable products that meet or exceed the requirements of customers and regulatory authorities.

As a registered AS9100 supplier, NSPI provides its aerospace customers with a competitive advantage by strengthening their supply chain as a mature designer and manufacturer of high quality and high reliability sensors. Ultra Electronics' focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement ensures less scrap and rework, better documentation, lower risk of product delivery disruptions, and a stronger focus on customer satisfaction.

Attainment of the AS9100 registration demonstrates Ultra Electronics' continued commitment to increasing customer satisfaction, lower costs and improved risk management across a growing number of aerospace subsystems and platforms.

Chris Brown, Director of Industrial Marketing at Ultra Electronics, commented:

"Ultra Electronics has served the market for decades with our Weed Instrument and Furnace Parts brand of sensors for use in mission-critical, harsh environment applications. Our aerospace customers were asking for AS9100 certification and we listened. Achieving this certification is an important milestone us. It demonstrates we've achieved the next step in maturing our excellent quality management system, and assures our aerospace customers they will receive the highest level of service in the development and delivery of reliable, high-performance sensors. The certification strengthens our relationships with existing commercial and military aerospace customers and positions us to pursue supply chain positions on new programs. It is an important part of our growth strategy over the next decade."
