Michael at a market cap now of £3 million if you think the shares are at a bargain price why not purchase the company. Ask nobby nicely and split it 50/50 between you. As timbo has a lot of experience in the pharmaceutical industry perhaps he will help you going forward but with his experience he might not want to invest too much into it.
he could advise you whether there is a market for the new house lice powder though. A simple read of the Pharmaceutical Journal would give you the answer to that one .

if you just have one product that sells you give it to a distributor, give it to a competent salesforce like Ceuta to promote to retail customers(which they have) and take the profit as it flies off the shelves.
oh you also appoint an advertising agency to create the demand. if the retailer is making a profit from the product they will buy without any rep pushing it.

the product is wholesaled by all the pharmaceutical wholesalers so the effort is minimal.supply to the supermarkets warehouses and they distribute it to all their branches on a daily basis,
However if it is not selling then you get rid of it.
One would only get rid of a product that is not selling well and requires a lot more effort and cash to get its sales up.
In my opinion from day 1 they got the price wrong. Sainsbury locally is selling it at £10 rather than the RRP of £15 and the movement is minimal.
I will stock anything that sells Michael. My aim in life is to make a profit and you make no profit by not selling things. However space is limited so one will only stock products where there is a demand.
we have 3 pharmacies and took 6 cans between us initially. when they were still sitting there when patients came in and said i need something different i said this is new. nobody returned for more and the expensive price meant i would only serve not sell it.
if one sold 4 cans at £15 and the patient did not think it was value for money one would lose the customer.
if somebody sees it on the telly and demands it and you serve it no blame is attached to the seller.
i had a kind offer from Nobby to purchase the cans for me but as i could afford to purchase them if i wanted to i declined the offer.
i also declined the offer from Bruno to buy the shares because of the premium price of the products. It was a premium price for the shares as well.

LOL mudbath -" We are certainly not rampers here-far from it.
Jaundiced posters though often throw in this terminology."

I doubt that SL would agree with you if a poster on this thread, as I seem to recall that was a view put forward on the STL thread.

By the way, I do not support the view that you are a ramper, I would attribute you with words, like "wily - skilled - investor/trader" Good Luck with the Lice - but guessing, I doubt if they would have anywhere to inhabit on your head. :-)

Thanks for presenting a differing perspective haroldthegreat.
For me,it does not make commercial sense to distribute just one product.
Vamousse,if the price were right, would imo be better placed within a larger entity.

Indeed, there was no mention of UK sales, yet if Vamousse is on its way, there would be no point in expanding on the subject.

We are certainly not rampers here-far from it.
Jaundiced posters though often throw in this terminology.

Keep watching, keep posting but possibly change the record, for there is more to Tyratech than your own retail experiences.

No mention of UK sales ! Well at least nobby saw 2 sales in boots last week.why would they get rid of vamousse if it was doing well? I have yet to have one customer ask for it.after the amount of time it has been around I would have expected one patient to have asked for it . the results will show the true position rather than the rampers that post here all the time. In the states the prescription items are expensive and they have to pay to see a Dr.I haven't seen a UK prescription yet for it either.

Added a little today. Better then expected. And like many feel c.q. say 2017 might surprise. Another small buy order @2p in. Not executed yet.

On first reading, the pre close T/U left me somewhat despondent, particularly as the possible change of direction could be construed as throwing in the Vamousse towel.

Revisiting the statement however, there does seem much to enthuse over.
2017 may or may not see fireworks, yet further solid progress looks assured.
Tyratech could well surprise on the upside in several areas during this period.

On reflection then,I concur with thoughts of other posters that the shares look undervalued.

I think it's too early to consider selling the Vamousse range. It hasn't reached anywhere near it's potential, especially after the latest season being affected by a decline in infestations. France hasn't kicked in yet, Germany? Australasia?

Management believe they can corner 20-25% of the market and Bruno said early last year that Vamousse would be 'the core of our business for the next few years'.

From about 2.45 in...

And do they think of selling Vamousse? Interesting.

Thanks Somerset lad for your thoughts, for I feel a little less gloomy about TYRU now.

You posted the following, back last September.

"Here's a list of products TYRU mentioned previously that they might choose to license or assign:

a. 18.3.13: in final development of products to repel flea and tick infestations in cats and dogs; Bruno highlighted on 4.6.14 presentation to AMVAC shareholders;
b. Deal with Kraft for possible development of functional foods for sale in areas with endemic parasites. 18.3.13: in active discussions with commercialisation partners; Bruno highlighted on 4.6.14 presentation to AMVAC shareholders.
c. Floor and surface insect repellent developed successfully. In “near term discussions with major FMCG group and medium to longer term discussions with that party about other consumer products.
d. 14.8.13: continuing to pursue opportunities “with consumer products companiesâS64; for personal care products.
e. 18.3.13: in discussions with animal health companies to develop products to control internal and external parasites for fish.
f. 18.3.13: other pipeline products for internal and external parasites for companion and production animals with launch dates from 2014;
g. Possible functional foods to control anthelmintic-resistant parasites (worms) for dogs, cats and horses. Possible sale to a pharma company.
h. Possible developments: spider killer; bed bug killer; insect control wand."

In view of a possible change in strategic direction, it looks as though we might indeed see a narrowing of their focus.
I believe investors will require more information/clarity/visibility before making a judgement call on value.
Like michaelsadvfn though,I would like to think that 1.75/2.00 represents a near bottom quote, although it would not surprise me if the bid were to be dropped to 1.50,temporarily.

My thoughts exactly Somerset lad.

I still think this year is going to be our year for TyraTech.

Exciting times and more than happy to be holding.

The "riddle" (per timbo003) in the last sentence is interesting. It sounds to me as though they are thinking about selling Vamousse to focus on Animal Health. The heading "Strategic direction" indicates that they have something significant in mind (as does its emphasis in the Allenby note flagged by michaelsadvfn); and indicating that Animal Health is "ultimately larger" tells us where their priorities lie.

Vamousse could be quite valuable in the hands of a consumer health company given the gross margin.

And if the initial Animal Health feedback is as good as the RNS suggests (which would not be surprising given Novartis's previous involvement), Bruno may feel more excited and confident playing on his home turf.

DYOR as usual.

Owner of head lice treatment service, The Hair Force, Andew Hennessy, told RTÉ LifeStyle: "Nits and lice are at epidemic proportions in this country.

Traditionally, the peak times of the year have been shortly after Back-to-School [September] and again after Christmas however, in our opinion, it is pretty much year long now..."

So a market cap of less than one times next yeat's turnover for a growing company..... Yes I know they are still loss making but still that is ridiculous IMHO.

Agreed Nobby, very reassuring and the recent share price weakness certainly seems at odds with the company's prospects.

The very last sentence in the trading statement seems like a bit of a riddle to me. Why include it?

Well a relatively good trading update and maybe the most important aspect Is that they have $1.7 million in cash so no prospect of any fund raising. How on earth is this business valued at only £7 million!
