I'm a little disappointed with today's news, but took the opportunity to buy some more.

Although the drop hurts, in theory nothing lost 'til cashing in a loss. And i'm not quite ready to do that yet.

Hm, never would have guessed we'd see this share price You win some, you lose some. Not buying, not selling. A bit of an overreaction from the market as far as I'm concerned. But not in a hurry to add. BOL holders.

LOL, I don't think the downturn is due to the efficacy of Vamousse, no.

Considering all the recent press regarding super lice the downturn in infestations came as something as an unwelcome surprise and is directly responsible for today's mark down.

I can understand the mm's trashing the share price - they don't want to be stuck with stock so we are where we are. Long term thinkers have been presented with a nice opportunity today. I'm neither buying nor selling today.

There's an interview with BJ on Stocktube but I can't access it at the moment.

The TYRU product line is very much being overlooked as weak holders rush for an exit.

The Allenby note is interesting as regards the new revenue stream.

Not without promise then,imo,and quite possibly something of a bargain at the current shout.

Has the downturn in infestations come about because of the efficacy of our product ?

...the Company has now made it's first sales of the PureScience range and the first 3 products targeting poultry and swine markets are now being actively marketed across MWI's worldwide sales channels.

I was under the impression the USA was the only market being sold into...?

I reckon he's talking about b & c in your list.

Anything to do with companion animals will stay in house imo, they already have proof of concept for some of these products.

Timbo003, here's a list of products TYRU mentioned previously that they might choose to license or assign:

a. 18.3.13: in final development of products to repel flea and tick infestations in cats and dogs; Bruno highlighted on 4.6.14 presentation to AMVAC shareholders;
b. Deal with Kraft for possible development of functional foods for sale in areas with endemic parasites. 18.3.13: in active discussions with commercialisation partners; Bruno highlighted on 4.6.14 presentation to AMVAC shareholders.
c. Floor and surface insect repellent developed successfully. In “near term” discussions with major FMCG group and medium to longer term discussions with that party about other consumer products.
d. 14.8.13: continuing to pursue opportunities “with consumer products companies” for personal care products.
e. 18.3.13: in discussions with animal health companies to develop products to control internal and external parasites for fish.
f. 18.3.13: other pipeline products for internal and external parasites for companion and production animals with launch dates from 2014;
g. Possible functional foods to control anthelmintic-resistant parasites (worms) for dogs, cats and horses. Possible sale to a pharma company.
h. Possible developments: spider killer; bed bug killer; insect control wand.

I think 2.15 IS a record, I had some late last year at 2.20 & 2.25 and that was the lowest I've seen. Well done !

I wonder if the cash runway is still adequate to reach break even, or whether they will need another small fund raise at some stage in the future

I was intrigued by this statement:


"I also believe TyraTech has developed a valuable technology portfolio over the years, some elements of which are not currently core to our current strategic direction. One of our tasks over the coming year will be to release this value to allow us to further exploit our positions of strength in the personal care sector and to progress the opportunities in animal health, which we see as the larger opportunity over the longer term."


This sounds like they are going to dispose of an asset or cease some activity....but what have they got which isn't core?

Disappointing that they have changed their year end guidance but otherwise as expected. It is mad that the company is trading at just above 1 times sales. Yes they are still loss making but there is growth which will accelerate particularly as the animal health products gain traction.

Like michael I am a long term holder so this is just a blip along the path!

Good results today - I noticed Vamousse in my local Tesco's in Hertford the other day. Only 1 left - retailing for £15 and in a prominent shelf position (eye level).

This is 'safe and stable' part of my portfolio that I will look to grow - 80% of my portfolio is solid stuff like TYRU and the other 20% I play with.

You clearly don't hold here and you clearly believe the company's valuation of £8.5m is too high. Well that's fine, each to his own.

There's an absence of sellers if you hadn't already noted, maybe that's telling us something?

The losses and cash burn are not going away and the market cap is hardly low considering so something had to give eventually !

Fly in the ointment...recent data over the past two to three months has shown a slowdown in the overall market for head lice products in the US compared with strong growth during this period in prior years.

Yet Vamousse sales were up 31% over the corresponding period last year.
