19/12/2014 18:17 | Diamond It was you that tried to use logic with the word "surely". If you are telling the truth, which I doubt, and have held for the last 5 or six years then you have made a capital loss! I have personally held since the 4th December at £2:49 and see no reason to sell now. The club has held since the 10/3/2011 and still making a substantial loss. However I believe they will make a substantial profit in the next 5 years. | darias
19/12/2014 17:50 | Closed no price of 283p is cuz of delayed UT trade reported. Big one too, 1m share trade. Before that the market was 290-291p, which is where the closing price should have been at. | boonkoh
19/12/2014 13:47 | Darias, Since when did logic come into this game? I'm happy with the divis I've had over the last five or six years. Time to try pastures new. If it continues to rise, then I'll just have to accept it but I think there are better places to stick my cash right now. | diamond1
19/12/2014 13:38 | On a PE basis it is undervalued, even if you think the "E" is going to slip a bit. I am comparing it to ASHM and CNA which both hover around a similar yield and look cheap but TLPR has the lowest PE by some distance. Never understand why the market is so sniffy about broking firms... | danieldruff2
19/12/2014 13:33 | likewise hoping for a pull back,it always seems to happen, but maybe not rather safe than sorry | tom111
19/12/2014 12:59 | Can you provide a more logical reason for a "pull back" than "surely"? | darias
19/12/2014 12:55 | Just sold my entire holding. There surely has to be a pull back after the last few days rise. | diamond1
19/12/2014 10:01 | Looks set to test 290p again. Previously when it did there was strong resistance and it fell bad into the normal trading band. Hopefully this time it breaks it and settles higher. | boonkoh
18/12/2014 15:15 | danieldruff2, It has to go ABOVE £4 for me to get my money back but at least the divis have been good. | diamond1
18/12/2014 09:41 | Volatility in stock markets, oil markets, Fed was more bullish on rate rises yesterday, all positive for TLPR, which remains on a highly defensive PE until its earnings stabilise. And there's consolidation in the sector too. At some point sentiment will change in this sector and it will bounce rapidly to 350-400p IMO. | danieldruff2
18/12/2014 09:39 | volatile markets are good | spob
18/12/2014 09:34 | Just what's going on here? That's quite a rise in the last two days. | diamond1
04/12/2014 14:00 | TLPR still stuck in 12-month downtrend; zoom out further + the share price listed at c650p in Dec 2006 (admittedly unfortunate timing) + the long term trend has been gently downhill pretty much since. Admittedly this does not take account of dividend income in the interim but I remained to be convinced despite the useful yield. | speedsgh
04/12/2014 12:36 | Been watching for a while but there was no way I was going to pay more than the recent placing price of 248p. Now that we are at that point I am still unsure as there appear to be so many headwinds against the business. It remains to be seen how the acquisition will perform. On the flip side they are still solidly profitable and pay a decent divi. | salpara111
02/12/2014 17:59 | Evening Standard today had a short writeup on the Schroders situation. They claimed it is all being held in the Schroders Recovery fund. Fund value of 656m. Their stake in TLPR worth around £78m. So one of their biggest holdings it would seem. If all 12.7% is held in that fund. | boonkoh
29/11/2014 06:46 | Someone seems to like Tullets a lot. After hours yesterday, an RNS came out detailing that Schroders Investment Management have jumped from owning approx. 11million shares in Tullets to an astonishing 31million shares or some 12.7% of the shares/voting rights of Tullets. Almost tripling their holdings in Tullets by highly respected Schroders is noteworthy. - And likely a very positive signal. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
26/11/2014 08:23 | Been a disappointing stock to hold for a while. Hope that with acquisition out of the way the share price can recover toward 300p. Cheap at these levels. | its the oxman
21/11/2014 11:20 | The the share price drop today could be as much to do with the placing as the acquisition Not a holder here but I do have shares in ICAP. They released some results that were inline with the IMS but the shares fell 10% anyway. Chief exec there said that there are perhaps 5 companies chasing too little business and 3 would be better (I guess all CEOs would like less competition). Market volumes were higher in Oct but I think Nov has been quieter. Less volatile anyway. | dr biotech
21/11/2014 10:03 | My understanding was that this acquisition was earnings positive so I do not understand the market's reaction. Overall, my gut feeling is also that the operational environment for TP has improved in recent months. | ygor706
21/11/2014 09:37 | yes, good buying opportunity. | micos
21/11/2014 09:17 | Ouch. Big drop today on the finalisation of the PVM acquisition. But wasn't this announced earlier this year, and the knowledge public? The drop seems too big IMHO | boonkoh
07/11/2014 13:22 | Generally Positive updates/recommendati Today Numis REITERATES BUY with a TARGET PRICE of 320p Espirito Santo REITERATES BUY with a TARGET PRICE of 284p Peel Hunt REITERATE NEUTRAL with a TARGET PRICE of 255p Liberum REITERATE SELL with a TARGET PRICE of 219 Yesterday Citigroup REITERATE NEUTRAL with TARGET PRICE of 300p Personally, I thought Tulletst's trading figures were better than expected and the outlook encouraging, with excellent strides on cost-cutting measures. ALL IMO> DYOR. QP | quepassa
07/11/2014 10:31 | Generally positive interims yet the share price falls back. Odd! | diamond1
29/10/2014 14:32 | Would be interesting to see if it can go through 290p barrier and hold above 300p. | boonkoh |
