22/6/2014 20:09 | The £1.4 billion valuation is double what would have been gained had Lloyds proceeded with a controversial proposal to sell the network to Co-op Bank. It becomes one of the largest high street 'challenger banks' outside the big four with a 6% share of UK retail lending and around two thirds of its mortgage portfolio reportedly consists of capped variable-rate loans which will gain from interest rate rises. 'TSB has a national network of branches, a strong capital base, robust liquidity and significant economic protection against legacy issues,' said Lloyds chief executive Antonio Horta-Osorio. 'It is already operating on the UK high street and is proving to be a strong and effective challenger, further enhancing competition in the UK banking sector.' | christh

It's your decision to stay out.Mine is to hold on to them because I see great value in this bank. Barclays will come back and the dividend will be paid on Monday. So I have not lost anything. 20/6/2014 10:52 | Jack Jebb there is a demand because its quality, no debts, no liabilities. Clean bank with many business and many branches. How can it be unconditional if people already traded? Perhaps on the 25th June more people will pile in and push the price to 350p. As you can see the flotation was a success. | christh
20/6/2014 10:43 | I'm not sure you can look at it being 10 times oversubscibed as a reliable indication of real demand. Many will have been like me, applying for a load, getting a little, and selling, never to be seen as a shareholder here again. Some funds have to buy it, which is where a lot of the post pricing demand is coming from. | jack jebb
