Trinity Mirror plc ("the Company") announces that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 10 pence each on the London Stock Exchange from Barclays Capital Securities Ltd as part of its buyback programme announced on 1 August 2016.
Date of purchase: 26 October 2016 Number of ordinary 10p shares purchased: 11,465 Highest price paid per share: 88.75p Lowest price paid per share: 84.75p Volume weighted average price paid per share: 85.34p
The Company intends to hold these shares in treasury.
Following the purchase of these shares, the Company holds 2,050,920 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 281,408,651 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares). Therefore the total number of voting rights in the Company is 281,408,651 which may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
