15/9/2016 21:48 | ~Sorry, I meant optometrist... ;-) | sojourno
15/9/2016 19:02 | Yep,always.......;)) | piggyinthemiddle
15/9/2016 18:20 | That's what I said in 8607, and I think a few weeks back. I also want a timely NASDAQ listing, which as I explained to the BoD (some of you were there) could be quite easy as a t/o and absorb all the dilution we've fronted-up since Bishop... but hey..! Could Obama's offshore renewables and capital restructuring be enough to enter the US? FWIW since the Brexit vote and the obvious parlous state of the EU economy I've reconfigured all my managed investments to be more focused on North America; and like I said earlier AIM is stale for us anyway... Whatever it is it plainly isn't a just a simple licence deal. ...always the optimist, eh?! | sojourno
15/9/2016 16:52 | Well it could be as Globe says. I hadn't actually counted on something so riveting. I rather thought that would be covered by a a pdf. because it is technical. Having said that the restructure only makes sense if there is eventually profit to divvy up. | dieseltaylor
15/9/2016 15:59 | It must be some amazingly complicated capital restructuring scheme if they feel it needs a meeting to explain it. Sticking with my gut feel that something announced in or with the results will be worth shouting about. | drw1
15/9/2016 15:53 | If it is I wish they`d tell us to save me trailing up there in the rush hour traffic! | piggyinthemiddle
15/9/2016 15:37 | Could very well be. But it's more exciting to not think that. | greedfear
15/9/2016 15:25 | *Yawn* *Yawn* *Yawn* Could it be that the analyst and subsequent shareholders meeting/presentation will be about explaining the capital restructuring exercise the co intends to propose at the AGM? | globe
15/9/2016 13:50 | We may have an rns at 7am on the 21st prior to the analyst`s meeting. After all, they would have to have something to say to them otherwise they would be laughed out of City. | piggyinthemiddle
15/9/2016 13:27 | I am not saying that the meeting/presentation won't be positive just that any kind of earth shattering or gamechanging news/events that would send the share price into orbit could not be withheld for a specific date except of course as you suggest they are awaiting confirmation from a second party on a certain date. It's a hard one to work out. | albert_einstein
15/9/2016 12:51 | I thought I should mention that it is almost a decade now that I have fortnightly/weekly advices on filed patents! The dedicated investor : ( | dieseltaylor
15/9/2016 12:49 | This meeting could become a rod for their own backs if nothing positive is announced. They will lose all of any existing credibility they have if they disappoint next week. | piggyinthemiddle
15/9/2016 12:45 | Yes,I agree Soj but TRT have flattered to deceive for so long.........;( | piggyinthemiddle
15/9/2016 12:40 | vaguenotion... Do you have a vague notion. New avatar just for one post! | sojourno
15/9/2016 12:38 | It must be a corporate action and not a deal otherwise there wouldn't be a heads-up and investor presentation. It's probably already sewn-up but isn't yet live. Possibly relating to the financial restructuring we're expecting at the AGM. The price went up on the news release and light volume, usual MM adjustment in the circumstances methinks; so it's positive. Slippage after is simply the usual selling that AIM stocks offer in news vacuums. Open invite PI presentations don't come about in bars for price negative events. I'm positive but I want to see what it is before I buy more. | sojourno
15/9/2016 12:35 | The analysts meeting is in the morning the PI's in the evening. I think they will have something interesting to say. | drw1
15/9/2016 12:32 | There won't be anything interesting at the inesvtor evening. Anything price sensitive has to go through the usual channels. Rather the effort was spent with institutions trying to rebuild credibility there. | vaguenotion
15/9/2016 12:08 | Albert - It is a very interesting point however there are practical considerations also. Sya you have agreed something but the final signature is by the other company and they tell you that they will announce it on such and such a date. Do you pre-empt your partner? I think that the LSE has to have a pragmatic view on how things are announced. The clues we have our an unusual meeting venue, a patent application revealed, and the knowledge we have been given of a large European conglomerate being interested in our technology. We also are a minnow in a land of giants and we do what they want. I think it is sufficient for shareholders to find it interesting but can hardly warrant anything else. If there was abnormal market activity I believe the LSE can require a company to make an announcement. I suspect it would require several hundred thousand of pounds to be flying about to be interesting to the LSE. I must admit I am slightly surprised at the selling but then I understand iii followers had a brief flurry a month ago and perhaps they are leaving have made a profit. | dieseltaylor
15/9/2016 11:52 | Price action seems to be suggesting we are going to a wake ;( | piggyinthemiddle
15/9/2016 11:27 | Hi Soj, One thing that confuses me is what can they say that isn't price sensitive and would have been announced as soon as it happened, under Stock Exhange rules?. If the share price has risen of late because a few investors have got wind of something then it would surely have forced the Company to bring forward any news. | albert_einstein
15/9/2016 09:04 | I'm up for specific. Something that doesn't need a vote. Something that's worth pouring a glass for after. Half full or half empty, that's the usual question, but hopefully it'll be closer to the brim than before. Seems pretty obvious the tone is going to be positive. Venue/price action. Unless we're all going to a wake. | sojourno
15/9/2016 07:52 | Point taken MC,but you must agree that if all we get on the 21st is every thing is rosy ,the future`s bright, don`t worry guys look at the number of trials we have ongoing etc etc then it will have been a waste of everyone`s time going along. This isn`t an agm which is still to be scheduled which could have been used to give all the reassurances and platitudes needed. They have to have something specific to say! | piggyinthemiddle
14/9/2016 21:43 | These things are all relative - what may waste your time may not waste mine. One man's cabbage is another man's hair dryer. ;) | major courtenay
14/9/2016 20:32 | It has to be exceptional,if it`s not why waste everyone`s time? | piggyinthemiddle
14/9/2016 19:49 | I am taking the view, and I accept pitm's bottom line view, that I am taking a optimistic view of the immediate future. We know that TRT has been working with a European conglomerate. We see Siemens have a patent that seems to be very structured and precise on how it would use torque sensors. We look at the filing date and make some guesses. We also consider at what time TRT have ever called an analyst meeting, and then a shareholders meeting in a pub. I am of the belief it is good news rather than bad news as I cannot imagine the Directors would arrange it thus if there was a problem. But then being optimistic is a character trait not a crystal ball. Perhaps the quality of the news will not be exceptional but it may be cheering to us long-term holders. | dieseltaylor |
