Most of the house builders have taken a beating today on the scaling back of the government support scheme.
As I type this in my vastly overpriced apartment in central London I just wonder how long it is going to be before the housing market in the S.E. takes a major correction.
This minnow is probably reasonable value at current level but it is clear that the froth has now left the house building companies.

..... and that improved liquidity would bring it to a much larger "audience" of investors than it currently enjoys.

We have to trust the board of the company that they will not undertake such an exercise if it cannot be clearly viewed as value accretive.

I wouldn't worry iberithi, TEF is on a P/E of * 25 and MAR * 23, both on recently announced (much improved) results.

TRAF is currently on a P/E of 18 based on profit figures for last year. Provided TRAF can confirm their results are in-line with expectations, based on the newest results, that P/E will drop to around * 9 for the year to 31/03/2014.

The market will recognise this and correct it.

We are looking forward (for perhaps the next 10 years or so at least) to a "golden age" for house builders with an incredibly beneficial stance from all politicians, and widespread recognition (plus, an overt determination to be seen to attempt to correct this) that we have been building too few homes for too long.

TRAF is as well positioned to benefit from this potential as any other house builder.

I would however, like to see a higher rate of future development activity planned (land-banking). Only this will grow TRAF from a minor player to a major one.

If this means fund raising, so be it. The returns would more than justify any short term dilution. A substantial (institutional??) placing would signify confidence in TRAF's future plans, and would/could be beneficial to the share share price even in the short-term.

M4 - Current land bank looks a bit light, with the exception of the Staplehurst development, so raising funds for a war chest for the right developments, may not be such a bad idea IMHO.........GL S

It's fallen to toe pivot level again after a little excitement last week if you think it's overvalued sell....or sell on the news...

However the report might intimate a dividend is coming which will make it attractive to a different set of investors and it's yield could be higher than those in the sector which the market might correct ...
