16/12/2016 16:47 | Got it at last !! I knew this guy reminded me of someone.....The Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail !!! | pavey ark
16/12/2016 14:05 | LOL! Forecasts need to be more like £3m+ pbt rather than consensus £0.75m, granted that consensus is now out of date. let's see what comes out, presumably some of the 2017 forecasts will depend on the outcome of the sole source contracts and what margin TP are allowed to make. | the prophet
16/12/2016 14:02 | We don't need broker forecasts we have it direct from the co .Just new contracts to come and its plain sailing . | nw99
16/12/2016 13:53 | Almost sounds if you are tempted to buy back | timojelly
16/12/2016 13:29 | I seem to remember, in stock market terms, that you had to update the market if you were going to exceed estimates by 10% either way, although I'm not sure how many companies abided by this. Anyway, by saying 'significantly exceed', I certainly expect them to do better than a 10% improvement to 2016 forecasts. It remains to be seen what the forecasts will be for 2017, Edison, if you remember, being slightly more bullish with their £0.8m pbt compared ot the house broker Cenkos' £0.7m. I look forward with interest to the release of revised forecasts in due course and we will see if they are anywhere near 'interesting'. | the prophet
16/12/2016 13:14 | I wouldn't concern yourself with the semantics PA, I'm sure they mean the same; just a case of the author not wanting to duplicate. One thing is for sure, it's good news for the company and us share holders. | paulgo
16/12/2016 12:20 | Just a small niggle but the use of "significantly" for this years figures and "materially" for next year had me trying to work out which was better. Putting both into a thesaurus the first synonym to pop out in both cases was "substantially". I couldn't work it out because they essentially mean the same thing. If we do take the ER figures as some sort of base line then their figures did seemed to me to be furthest out at TPG ENG and TPG MS (especially MS). These figures are the ones that interest me most as we know that the Maritime division is a star (£40m value looking at you) and the D&T unit is rapidly coming down from the eye watering, company wrecking losses of a few years ago. I suspect that management have very high hopes for the engineering and managed solutions units and they do compliment each other very well. MoD outsourcing, BAE engineer shortage, nuclear power refurbs, expansion at Grangemouth etc. | pavey ark
16/12/2016 10:21 | Hargreave Hale now holding 11% | paulgo
15/12/2016 21:47 | and the NED goes overboard - best of luck fella | swiss paul
14/12/2016 22:46 | TPG featured in Stockwatch TP Group soared as it reported full-year performance would likely significantly exceed expectations. The firm, which provides air purification equipment for submarines among other things, said recent contract wins and a strong order book meant earnings were set to be higher than forecast. Last week TP said its engineering business had won a two-year contract with GE Oil & Gas worth £1.5million. In the six months to June 30, TP reported revenue of £9.4million, up 13 per centon the year before. Shares yesterday soared 21.9 per cent, or 1.12p to 6.25p. | cottoner
14/12/2016 18:55 | Chart breakout on the upside as well | nw99

14/12/2016 15:15 | Triple top? Well done to any holders. I bailed out of this too early it seems ... | zcaprd7
14/12/2016 13:04 | Todays news aside I must update my post about the recent BAE order of £5.3m. This order is almost certainly for the Astute boats as a similar order was placed two years ago. On this theme I see that DCNS the french submarine builder placed an order of £1.8m in January 2015 for a unit for their Barracuda class boats. As the french are scheduled to build these at two year intervals I expect another order soon as there are three more boats in the class to be built. I still consider the TKMS order in August (£1.7m) to be very significant as the company are pushing their fuel cell AIP systems and claiming that existing boats (of which there are quite a few) can be retro fitted with the system and of course they would require the new TPG unit. "Deal of the decade" oh yes I think so !! | pavey ark
14/12/2016 12:46 | Good chance to keep taking profits | montynj
14/12/2016 12:14 | Edison Research will probably come out with a note soon saying that they have upgraded their forecast AGAIN. The original forecast EBITDA was £0.3m for 2016 then they upgraded to £0.7m and now they will up it again. Aren't these guys the paid stooges of management ? Don't they just print whatever they are told by their paymasters ? To be in the pocket of management they do seem to get things awfully wrong. The truth is that ER take great care to maintain a distance from management and this idea that they were somehow producing gold plated forecasts was all in the imagination of the strange one. If out of date and suspect forecasts is all you've got then I suppose it is always worth repeating them time and time again not to mention totally ignoring the fact that the company holds a large and growing pile of cash. ER is handy for historical data and still worth reading but that's about it. I,of course, have pointed this out many times. This is a small company (possibly the smallest on Edison) and not even much of a deal for the house broker. If you are going to invest here FFS do your own research !! | pavey ark

14/12/2016 10:16 | I note also that TPG quote EBITDA, let's see what the clean forecasts are after everything has been paid or knocked off. | the prophet
14/12/2016 10:10 | .....yeah but....no but | paulgo |
