23/3/2016 14:05 | I'm considering cutting the grass in the next week or so, anyone think its too early, should I wait till late May...? | neilyb675
23/3/2016 13:55 | So are they driving the alternator directly off the crankshaft? I had a 1950's motorbike that did that, although it was a dynamo. | lefrene
23/3/2016 13:32 | Unfortunately you are probably right. | angus17
23/3/2016 13:17 | You really don't need it you know. In any event you're obviously never going to get it, so what's the point of fretting? Volvo looked at it in 2014, decided it wasn't viable, and shelved it in favour of battery technology - perhaps it's time you did the same? Is anything actually happening at TRK? I guess v-charge is also pretty much dead? I saw a quote in Autocar a couple of weeks ago - some engineer from GM/Vauxhall commenting on electric power steering (I quote from memory, so paraphrase) - 'because of emissions regulations, nothing can be driven off the crankshaft - we no longer even have an engine with a pulley!' | supernumerary
23/3/2016 13:06 | I need that mechanical flywheel not silly electrical gadgets!!! Slightly biased. | angus17
23/3/2016 12:47 | Yeah, like that Dyson vacuum cleaner - invented in England, it'll never sell... Angus - maybe you should buy a Volvo XC90 or V60? | supernumerary
23/3/2016 12:24 | Simples, kers wasn't invented in Germany the USA or Japan, if it was it would have been in use some while ago. | lefrene
23/3/2016 10:47 | The latest idiot to helm has been there a year now as well. Any results. errrr nope. Everytime I get in my car and have to brake I wonder why oh why hasn't my volvo got kers. it just seems a no brainer and yet......... | angus17
23/3/2016 10:44 | While we wait for something to happen, some memorable utterances from Torotrak CEOs: 'When not if' MM 'Bankable deal in 2004' DE 'The balance is now weighted firmly towards reward' DE 'If you don't like (the share price) you can simply sell them' JD Could add to that all the JD statements from November 2014 TPSA but what's the point...... Good luck all | bodgit
14/3/2016 08:40 | It is. I'd start a new thread but to what end? | alchemy
14/3/2016 08:16 | Its all a bit zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz on here. Good news soon, please. | bodgit
22/2/2016 13:31 | Whilst it's 247.5 standard deviations between a share price that was £5 and one now of 5p., giving a probability of 0.002307% of going back to £5 from 5p (don't trust my math: DYOR), there is more chance of a doubling or trebling of the price, given some new orders soon ... please! I don't want a 100-bagger, but a 10 bagger would be nice, lol. Could be worth buying a few more if the price starts to move north again soon. | andrewbaker
19/2/2016 21:51 | The grand old duke was half way up. If that's your situation Bodgit, well done: He's still a long way below there for me! That said TRK's the only "little tent of blue" in my portfolio today. | underhill

09/2/2016 12:11 | MY buy showing as a sell? | oliversanvil
09/2/2016 09:40 | Lefrene, it is its not it's. Else? Yes. | alchemy
09/2/2016 03:13 | Looks like Allison are having a torrid time. Hmmmmm. Maybe they will want to get something new out to market to boost their flagging sales? INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Allison Transmission Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ALSN), the largest global provider of commercial duty fully-automatic transmissions, today reported net sales for the fourth quarter of $478 million, a 12 percent decrease from the same period in 2014. The decrease in net sales was principally driven by lower demand in the global Off-Highway and Defense end markets, partially offset by price increases on certain products. | bodgit
08/2/2016 14:03 | I should think by now that just about the entire industry must be aware of this quirky company and it's product. Either there is something about it that makes it unworkable, or the motor industry is just like a bunch of farmers who prefer to stick with what they know and let someone else take the risk of trying something new, and then if it works they all follow in a herd. Given recent scandals one would have thought that by now at least on OEM would be trying to make the 'cleanest' car simply as a marketing exercise. Perhaps recent events at VW are concentrating hearts and minds in reconsidering their approach? The worst outcome would be for some entity to buy us out and then bury the technology. With any, luck the v-charge will turn out to be cheaper to produce than an electrical booster. I dare say that decision is being made in OEM boardrooms now. | lefrene
08/2/2016 09:09 | two products potentially getting closer to commercialisation the hurdle remains to get something into volume production there is, as others have said, a risk that someone might think it is worth a punt to buy the company in advance of that hurdle being jumped there are enough partners with sufficient 'inside' information to make the call aren't there - Allison, Ford, the various tier 1s, the bus mob.... it would be a real shame for long term holders to get taken out at / below break even if any of the technology does make it to fruition subsequently | jpjp100
04/2/2016 23:14 | it was worth a try lol | bearable
04/2/2016 22:41 | With almost 550 million shares in circulation that would give a market cap of £3.3 billion! Need about £250 million a year profits to prop that up. I think we can safely assume that that won't happen. But yes, "If Only". | lefrene
04/2/2016 21:46 | I have held these since 1999!!! Is this it something to sell at last Are we going back to 600 p If only, but you never know | gordonsmith1 |
