|I received a letter today from the company, giving details of low cost sharedealing, for those with less than 4000 shares in the company who wish to sell all their shares.|
|EWD thread started - "Pipeline full of possibilities"|
|Just happened - epic ewd Ewood Holdings
Time for a new thread I think..|
|Precisely SteMis - as it would all enhance shareholder value..
I believe someone had to pay 195 for shares yesterday when it was 180-190. That tends to make me think that this is an artifical MM price drop. Its happening on a number of other AIM shares at the moment also.
Tuck away till September and look again at them then.
By the way any feel for when the new name is to be adopted?|
|Don't mind the price falling if it means another buyback at 185p.|
|Could be, though I wouldn't mind them holding off for a bit if this market continues to be weak to see if the price falls further and allow us to top up as required.
I had pencilled in July as the likely time for buybacks after the receipt of £1.25m loan repayment in consideration for the sale of Solvitol.|
|Time is now good for a substantial share buy back from the company. It would be nice if they co-incide this with the change of name and possibly further trading update or other positive news flow.|
|Starting to get back into buying opportunity again.
At this level I would expect a 25% return within the next 1-5 months.
Will these prices tempt a share buy back - as has been approved by the shareholders at the AGM?|
|nice would like a few more but not low enough yet|
|A large drop back of 5 % on very little to no volume, as has been the pattern over the last 12 months or so.|
|Online broker is limiting trades on TDC
Max size 1,000 buy at 218 and sell at 213.8
Any views on this? Anyone know when the new name kicks in?|
|looks like we will have our new company when the markets open on 2nd May - E.Wood Holings Ltd.
At that point we should start off a new thread as the company is quite clearly trying to find new admirers that will not have the history of TDC but rather will see E.Wood as a very interesting company to be part of and the £2+ shareprice will be a starting point for the company to grow from..|

|Very encouraging AGM statement just released..Onwards and upwards..
Torday & Carlisle PLC
26 April 2006
Torday & Carlisle PLC ('the Company')
The Annual General Meeting ('AGM') of the Company was held today and all the
resolutions in the Notice of Meeting were approved. Accordingly, the Company
will shortly be changing its name to E Wood Holdings Plc.
At the AGM, the Chairman made the following statement:
Queens Award for Enterprise 2006
The Board is pleased to congratulate Chris McDonnell and all the staff of E Wood Limited on being awarded earlier this week the Queen's Award for Enterprise in the category for Innovation. This award recognises the development of the Copon Hycote 169 HB semi-structural coating for in- situ lining of water pipes.
revolutionary lining can show a dramatic improvement in water quality and a
significant reduction in water losses. With significant economic savings over
traditional methods of pipeline rehabilitation and a major reduction of
carriageway holes and excavations, the coating is being used and trialled by an
increasing number of water companies in the UK and overseas.
First quarter trading
In our Annual Report for 2005, we said that we expected to continue to grow the
business of E Wood Limited (our only operating subsidiary) in 2006. The results
for the first quarter of 2006 have been encouraging, and although it is still
early in the year, give us some confidence that we should be able to show
further satisfactory growth for the full year.

|Anybody know what time the AGM is today in Northallerton? I think SteMis said it was The Golden Lion Hotel on the High Street.|
|NTV this is the quote from the Final results sayingxd on 28th.
The Board is pleased to recommend payment of an increased final dividend of 3
pence per share (2004: 2 pence) which is covered five times by earnings per
share from the continuing business. The dividend will be paid on 25 May 2006 to
shareholders on the register on 28 April 2006|
|xd this morning|
|price will go up again by approx 10% i feel, with board approvals and a reasonable divvi to be paid.|
|nice tick up|
|no xd tomorrow tbh|
|It is strange on such little volume. I would now expect this price to hold until the shares go ex div by close of Friday and we could see a 5-7% correction back down from today's 10% hike for next week.|
|a day or two quicker than I expected!|
|Unfortunately I will be in London tomorrow not Northallerton and Betty's tearooms on the main street!..
I think that the answers to most of your questions lie in the commentary of the final results. I quote verbatim..
Across our markets we offer a broad range of products and have a strong business
with good foundations and an experienced management team. Furthermore our
technical strength gives us a competitive advantage which we will continue to
exploit. If we can achieve some of our commercial targets in the pipelining
sector, the opportunities and rewards could be significant. It is too early to
say whether the commentators are right in predicting that the long term world
supply crisis is one of water rather than oil and gas but, in any event we are
well placed with a range of products to address opportunities in both sectors.
We expect to continue to grow our business in 2006 both organically and by
seeking bolt on acquisitions which give us greater product or commercial
strength. We are confident we will continue to make good progress.
