The banks own 12 clubs. They've been flogging off profitable clubs below book value as well. Still operating at a trading loss and their short term survival is in question (although they report being 'close to concluding new arrangements with bankers') Longer term things look even more dire in this overcrowded, highly competitive sector. For gamblers and rampers only.

Opthalmist - I'd rather take style tips from Worzel Gummidge than listen to your share recommendations. Please don't clog up other boards with your ramping nonsense!

I assume this rise is because people in the know expect something good in the results?

'fraid not.

Guess - market has wind of bank deal, further disposals or a big buyer trying to get shares.

Now then, I wonder?

Financial year end is April 30th., results historicaly published early July
(10th. in 2000, 3rd. 2001), 2002 delayed to 30th. Oct..

Co. hasn't warned, therefore guidance as per interims.
edit, forgot,............but also note RNS of 6th. May and 6th June

So, bid is up and all the MMs. are on it!

Eyes peeled for abnormal volumes pre-results.

Probably just coincidence if it occurs....... :0)

(sigh), dyor.

soreloser,

My calculations give 2.9 million pounds of bank debt left plus any trading cash outflows. The proceeds received are less than the sale prices by virtue of the liabilities assumed by the purchasers, which could include lease debt amongst other creditors. Still bank debt is down from 6.1 million pounds at the end of December and there are another 12 sites left. Even if we have to sell 6 sites at 0.5 million each to remove bank debt, that leaves the remaining 6 sites in for a market cap of 0.6 million pounds. Hmmmmm?

I don't think they will go that far, but am hopefull that good value will be left after the process. I hold 350,000.

I reckon they must be down to around 1M debt now? Or better depending upon cash burn....

Is there anybody out there?
