Toledo Copper Corporation plc (AIM : TCU) announces that the resolutions put to shareholders at the Extraordinary General Meeting held on 24 August 2004 were passed.

Accordingly, the

Company's name has been changed from Toledo Copper Corporation plc to Toledo Mining Corporation plc; and
the directors are authorised to allot up to a further 1,546 million ordinary shares on a non-preemptive basis.

to be honest i think it is an egm in name only to comply with listing rules.Whats happening is they are meeting with potential backers to sort out the financial arrangements and see whether they will bother with the mine.oh and to change the name to toledo mining corp.I don't expect any fireworks.

Some comment here about mining in the Philippines in general, slightly off topic as it doesn't specifically mention Toledo, although relevant to the subject IMHO.

It's encouraging that there has been little or no selling over the last month. Probably fair to assume those on the inside would have stampeded for the exit by now if the news were likely to be disappointing.

or go up like a rocket so mm are buying cheap stock to sell i bought too days ago at 2.12 so its up and a month ago i bought at 1.85 i hope the mining report is good
