Tintra Takeover Rumours (TNT)

When looking at the shareholder list, I'm confused. How could the Bod that owns a large amount of the shares suddenly flip from being minded to recommend 150p to today's "The Board of LRB yesterday announced that it had received indications from holders of a majority of the issued share capital of Tintra that they support the development of Tintra, and consequently that they would not wish to accept a cash offer at 150 pence per Ordinary Share," Moreover, wasn't there announced with the 'takeover' proposal an option to continue to hold in the new 'company anyway rather than take 150p? So what's the difference? No wonder the market seems to continually call this correct. imo
