Very low liquidity here moving this share price - I can only see 3 buys this morning after this news - although I can't see PLUS trades. I guess after the disappointments most people have left this share for well alone for the time being.

Could have done with a bit more meat with this RNS - like how how many sales this will translate into with this deal. Anyone know the margin for this product - is it very small, meaning they need to sell millions of it.

Absolutely! Momentum at last. Just as encouraging are the enquiries from the US.

Interesting to see what happens today. My guess is they were buys not sells otherwise given how few trades we have would have expected price to drop again.

More importantly I see news as being very promising. Particularly like the lack of trial (or maybe they have already had one). We won't need many anouncements like this before a rerating happens IMHO

trades are often not reported for several hours. the shares were only up 9% this morning so the sells may well have been buys.

I was referring to the placing of May 8th (see below) at 1.5p. As we don't know who got what, and considering no subsequent holdings RNSs appeared after this placing, they're all off-radar

"Timestrip is pleased to announce that it has raised GBP610,550 (before expenses) through a placing of ordinary shares of 0.02p each ("Ordinary Shares").
40,703,334 Ordinary Shares have been placed with institutional and other investors."

[edit: Don't forget that certain "investors" are not out to make large profits, they exist solely to allow companies to raise money quickly by buying shares at a discount and then they drop them into the market]

Sorry forgot placing in May this year of about 40 million shares at 1.5p - would be surprised if people are selling those now at 1.7p

Unless I'm mistaken only recent placings were both to same person and I can't believe he is a seller (thinking about it if he was then there would be dislosures). Also haven't tried doing a dummy purchase for a while but it has often been the case with Timestrip that you could buy below mid price so these "sales" may well be purchases

Interesting also that the product isn't even launched and it's generating revenues - that's a good sign.

Target price of 2p! So they're not expecting much.

I'd like to know where the dumping is coming from though and how long it'll go on for, especially whenever there's any sign of strength - my suspicion is that it's all derived from recent placings.

Agreed, particularly as this is probably the largest market in the world, got to be a good starting point.

Interesting that the Americans don't seem to require lengthy "trials" before adoption.

Significant, I would have thought, in that the US is a 'medicalized' society with top-down initiatives (none of that silly consulting with nurses etc)and a much greater dependence on technology, and in between 'customers', insurance providers, healthcare providers and the lawyers waiting to sue them for malpractice, once a tool like Timestrip has been deployed, it is unlikely to be rescinded.

And, obviously, because the market is enormous and widespread adoption of the product will entail greater revenues.

I'll keep an eye on this one, wait for their 2009 results and in the meantime keep tabs on any significant new orders coming. Good news today but need to see more orders of this kind coming in.

A month ago I'd said that there was £0.9m cash at end-June '09 and a cash-burn of approx £400k per 6 months. So prior to today's RNS I'd have said they'd survive until Q3 next year on what they've got. Now at least that could take them towards end-year. I'd hoped to see orders for the Medical range starting to appear a bit earlier, so this is a relief, and I also expect more news (perhaps not commercial) derived from the initial trials to arrive next month.

Good news but looking at their latest figures they are still going to make a significant loss again this year, they may manage to just about cut their losses in half. 2010 they may just be close to break even. All supposition of course but they may be 1 or 2 years away from actually making any money. I don't know how much cash in the bank they have!?

The hope is there is more to come which will create the critical mass needed here for the company to reach profitability.

Nice news! I'd like to know what they're referring to, but very nice to see potential revenues (£125k per year) being given in RNSs and first monies arriving by the New Year.

My point is that a working system for fine wines will attract a premium price.
and there is far more decent wine sold worldwide than you would think.......
Agreed the nhs is a huge potential ,as are other health systems but lateral thinking required. Get one good contract then go from there.
I have bought more today. Probably the only one to do so. LOL

Good idea, but pie in the sky. Timestrip need to sell millions of units to turn a profit. Sensibly, they are concentrating on those pipelines that can deliver these kinds of volumes, like the NHS. When they have achieved ubiquity in one or two areas, then customers will come to them, because the applications are obvious. Trying to push the concept to individual niche markets at the moment, however, especially with the cost-cutting going on everywhere, would be like trying to suck mashed potato through a straw...
