Moor - I have a similar story with AFR (FTSE 250) and PTR (hopefully on the mend now but will never see previous highs). When you throw in the big drop in the bank shares a few years ago, BP oil spill and Tesco to name but a few then it really makes you wonder if its best just to stick under the mattress.

I have a list of disasters like this all dogs that have stolen my funds! CCH, IVE, EEL, To name a few!
I am not expecting much back from any of them now, it certainly makes you much more aware of what a cesspit Aim Market is.

considering that Timan is major asset of Araca, i would say that we might hear something interesting very shortly.
Araca shares went from 0.5nok to 1.5nok within this week

Albeit a valuation on paper, when accounts are prepared assets are valued at a current valuation, or if the asset is valued at less than the cost of their investment then an impairment charge has to be raised.
Valuations are signed off by auditors so be interested what figure ARACA'a auditors put on their $193m investment.
A bit of transparency at last.

Good point cffcc. Someone thinks it has value in that company. We are in the dark but hopefully all will be revealed soon !!

Please can someone enlighten me.

I cannot understand how a company can pay $193m for a 27.5% of what is being described as a worthless company.
What am I missing?

Many thanks.

1 license is still remaining, and should worth something. And we need to sell it as soon as possible otherwise we will be left with nothing

Problem being Kubok if they have no license they have nothing to sell.
