Think the sealer is a good idea
Maybe in the Spring , get the slabs spotless and then seal ...makes sense and they will no doubt look a lot ,lot better.

Thanks indeed
Like the baking soda

I love the smell of James Fluid !
Unfortunately the other half does not.
In my wisdom , I poured some down the outside drains thinking it a good idea.
Apparently the garden smelt like a multi storey car park that had been just been disinfected.
The dark eye treatment again !

Lol

Jeyes Fluid to answer part of the question. Bleach works well also once it dries to kill and remove algae, but leaves the perfect surface for moss and algae to grow again, so needs treating. You could try treating the stone with a solution of Baking soda, nice and cheap, to make the surfaces much more alkaline as moss prefers acidic conditions. Any excess white residues from the baking powder will wash away easily when it rains but leaves enough in the masonry pores to help.

Most Patio cleaners alone work pretty well especially if left to soak and then scrubbed gently with a broom. They should leave chemicals behind after rinsing which help protect against more moss etc. Just rinse off gently and not over do the rinsing. Messy job using a pressure washer and you still need chemicals to prevent moss forming again. A masonry sealant also helps.

Not too bad , back in time to be told
Mrs Ig is going shopping
Nice easy time mixing my Patio Magic stuff and applying slowly
£10.50 for 2.5 lines. .
JJ, as my fount of all knowledge , what else can I use that kills algae type stuff
Did use the Karscher once but not too great a job and took forever
Soaked the patio windows too
Mrs Ig had words !

Whenever her eyes seem to go dark , I run !

You are learning fast - soon you will be teaching the rest if us all the best tricks.
However I would take the phone, to phone home to say you are caught in a traffic jam while you sit in a cafe eating a jam butty.

Off to buy some patio cleaner on my own
I will be driving very slowly , stopping for petrol
Could drag it out for hours
I will accidentally leave my phone at home so can't be reached
Mrs Ig outsmarted

I will no doubt get a telling off for leaving my phone ...worth it though

So far , so good

Need some stuff to clean the patio

Dream on Ig
