01/3/2015 21:49 | How's Sheila ? Still wearing pink ones ? | mreasygoing
01/3/2015 19:54 | I'll say what I want eva, you can not read it if you don't want. Just because you don't like it, it doesn't mean it doesn't look bad. THT ALWAYS disappointed upon result days, even when it had positive ones. It has been dragging down for a while and noone would have expected this to slide to 62p. I think the whole recovery story was what was driving prices higher and this has been questioned now from the recent profit warning. CR was right that supermarket wars were a huge factor, it just took 12 months to show it. Unless there's something positive we didn't already know in tomorrow's results, this could drop to the 50s unfortunately. Sad to say as this is the same company as last year and profits still holding but the market just doesn't seem to buy it. P.S If you only want to read 'positive' news then you'll be in for a surprise. Btw I still believe this is a great company and an entry here is ideal but for holders who bought above a quid this turned out a huge disaster. I too lost some money here but I cut my losses when it still was in triple digits and didn't hurt that much. Valuable lessons learnt. | blondeamon
01/3/2015 19:00 | "Looks bad" kind of thing only a non holder would say the day before results. I haven't been a holder for some time but for someone so bullish previously maybe better to say nothing? | allstar4eva
01/3/2015 18:50 | Blonde, isn't that the idiot that couldn't add up and see what was coming, then a profit warning came and he sold up despite all his ramping.Last I heard he had got a new job teaching the umpa wumpa's MATHS.DD | discodave4

01/3/2015 15:29 | Looks bad Jonathan Hart, the chief executive, said he was “disappointed& Nicola Mallard, analyst at Investec, has forecast that Thorntons will post half-year pre-tax profits of £6m, down from £7.2m last year | blondeamon
01/3/2015 14:20 | Thorntons is featured in today's Sunday Telegraph, as a victim of the supermarket wars. | aukley
27/2/2015 17:00 | A better close than I had anticipated even. Hopefully news from THT is stabilising sales and things are looking better than they previously thought. This is short term for me so if we get to 90p I will take me 11k and walk. GLA I hope long termers here see a useful profit, THT is still a share I should like - it should be stable as a foody, its just those pesky supermarkets and pensioners. | stud-muffin
27/2/2015 16:58 | Good bounce back today. Feeling a little hapier going into next week.K | kumala

27/2/2015 14:18 | Indeed addison17. Would show that THT are not a leaky ship either and that we just have to wait for their announcements to see the real picture. Monday really needs to be a good day! I hate Mondays though! | lauders
27/2/2015 13:19 | wow up 11% today, hope that this goes well Monday. | addison17

27/2/2015 08:14 | Simple question..Why only on the 9th Feb are the US fund....upping there stake....if this co is a basket case.... and looking at there web site ...they know what they are doing....and it is not throwing away there clients money....this will be bid for at some point...take the long view simple.. | maximillian1
26/2/2015 20:11 | I thought Mr Hart had the business well on the road to recovery. His neck will be on the block soon at this rate. | goodapple
26/2/2015 19:02 | THT really need to get their act together; not only do they have distribution problems but their product is decidedly average and expensive (even when you take 2 for £10.00 boxes of chocks (normally £8.00 each) and the £2.50 shareholder discount voucher into account). End of moan! | killieboy
26/2/2015 18:23 | Yeh cheers crbema and good luck maxi with these, do hope that all our paths will bear fruit in end | supasapi
