I wonder how much stock Neset Kockar would need to be able to block Fosun/TCG or at least force them to talk.

Nigelpm, your right ... but if a company is to dilute its share and value will be zero , according to a few in this BB. Why would someone by approx 8% of stock approx120m ??? Because they want to lose their money ????

How many times do people need to state it. Fosun have a plan to inject 750m into the business. That is different from buying a stake in he equity.

Little man I can hear you but thankfully can't see you. Go away. Not interested in your views. I'm an investor and have like many other serious investors, been in these for years. I won't bother replying to you again

They willNot be suspended and as some have remarked earlier and on LSE, Forsun & TCG are having to prepare for our Chinese friend to spoil their plans while our Turkish delight friends care about to launch there bid for the company. Could even go hostile

In fact, I would not be surprised if these are suspended Monday.

walkermike1. Run for the hills while you still have some money. These shares are going to be worthless.

To quote from the link leadersoffice provided:

‘While this is not the outcome any of us wanted for our shareholders, this proposal is a pragmatic and responsible solution which provides the means to secure the future of the Thomas Cook business for our customers, our suppliers and our employees.’

Clearly Thomas Cook are in deed in bed with Fosun. I'm hoping our Turkish friend will throw a huge spanner in the works by making a bid on Monday

"Oh dear oh dear"..mrs mallorca won't like this...NK is backed by THY Turkish Airlines which is backed by the Turkish Government with deep pockets.. while Fosun a $85b turnover conglomerate with $20b of cash from its cash generative insurance arm..so we have the makings of a perfect bidding war..."oh dear oh dear"...mrs mallorca has just fainted after telling me the divorce papers are in the post and she's changing the locks!.."oh dear oh dear"...another day..another 40%+ share price gain

I'm angry and have posted In that vein because .. yet again shareholders screwed. I cannot see how there is an upside for investors. The deal ( IMO ) is done .. it's simply laborious paperwork.. So this is pure speculation until he/ she is left steering a stricken ship to the rocks .. awaiting reincarnation at .05p.. That's my view .. I could be wrong but I don't think so. I might be tempted to jump In even in the short term but ABSOLUTELY NO-ONE HAS PUT A CONVINCING OR RATIONAL ARGUMENT TO THE CONTRARY..Go ahead please and convince others here (PI's ) otherwise..

Depends how you see it.
In my eyes. Its not pointless at all.
Turkish foreign minister also gave it his backing as well saying how important Thomas cook was to the Turkish tourist industry
NK is extremely respected and admired in turkey and Russia so it would do his image harm if he pulled out now. And IMO he would be silly to as he has a lot to gain from this
If I was Fosun I would be EXTREMELY worried he had the backing of the Turkish government, Turkish airlines, the Rixos group and the whole of the Turkish tourist industry
You may see it differently but that’s how I would see it.
