Jak... investors who bought the bonds on IPO would have paid par, but they have probably changed hands a few times on the way down well below that...

By the way, forget buying bonds unless you go to Germany and open an account with Commerzbank. London office doesn't deal with bonds anymore and Deutsche is pulling out altogether... Pity as the bonds look tempting...

Jaknife,

excellent post again.

I'm sure that you're fully aware that most on here are just very small time gamblers looking for a penny share that they think might 'multibag'.
Others are very genuine and are locked in on huge losses (some over £100k) and see averaging down and a price spike on speculation as their only hope - rather than sell whilst they can still get something.

I find your posts to be very informative - thank you.

they are not writing off debt, they are converting to equity at an agreed share price

AND YOU KNOW THAT.

yes they said the share price would be traded down to single figures which it has been. 9p is a single figure as well as 1p. It is all about what you believe. IMO 9p is cheap and when the deal is done the company will grow from there and so the share price too. However, since then we now have another player who has bought 7% of the company and maybe more? you know that and it could change all of these plans and give shareholders a much better outcome.

At no point have the company said shareholders will be wiped out. They talk about existing shareholders still having their shares.
