sorry to put a bit of a downer on this but the weather is not helping...mind you the cash call will be intresting, any clues as to what the rights issue price will be? if they guage the 12 month price since management change to be circa 70p and adding in a discount for current holders my guess for the price is around the current level but here's hoping we reach 70...
holding...and watching :-)

well I walked through London Exchange on Monday and to put it into perspective, three weeks before Christmas in an area of one of the highest disposable incomes per capita and one guy was in Theo's, Tiffany's was buzzing, Boodles had four people in it. It would be good to get a perspective on the Manchester shop if anyone is nearby as I do wonder whether to dump it before Christmas or wait for the post Christmas statement. The pound has got to show good value at the moment for the likes of those coming in from Eurozone.

throw the dice.....

This board is as quiet as the share price ... Do we think Christmas is going to bring us a sales surge or a bit of a downer?

All comments gratefully received.

well I was walking thru the London Exchange yesterday and the shop was pretty quiet so it had better start soon ! They have a new range, Phi which seems to be well promoted in store though. Two doors down Boodles was bustling ! They need to get rid of the silver tomatoe sauce and marmite holders, this really does bring down the tone....

All this talk of record profits and big bonuses in the city bodes well for TFL at xmas.

Another plus for me is as the price moves up the spread doesn't look so big, so less likely to put off new buyers.

Theo still going strong I see and market makers still keen to take your stock. You cant do better than a share that moves up whether the market is up or down and that is what we have been doing for the past week as TFL continues its re-rating.

bb, the 48k was def a sell - mm's gave s/he a good price to get the stock.

I did some dummies yesterday and online could only buy in 500's -, YES(!) worked my way down all the way from 10k until I got an offer at 500. But mm's made a good offer for 20k of mine, all in lot, but I'm a keeper for quite some time.

I think the 4.25% holder has lived up TFL in recent days.

The trades today look interesting with some hefty ones included, 2 x 25k and 1 x 44.5k. It's difficult to tell what are buys and what are sells. The only certain buys were the 2 x 25k, the 48k was just above the bid so must have been a sell and the other trades were at the mid price.
Volume certainly picking up now though :-)

Almost 50 mid now after they raised the offer. With so few shares around we would only need a couple of small trades to bring the bid up and close the spread a bit.

Free float is only 20%, i.e; 3.76m shares and a lot of those will be held by peeps looking to get back to around the 100p, I reckon.

Matthew Lynn in Moneyweek was writing in the latest issue of how the rich were stocking up luxury items to hedge against fiat currency depreciation. I wonder if TFL's products will be on the shopping list. Massive bonuses in the city should be good for TFL sales I would have thought.

I would be happy with a finish above 50p this week!

A finish today above 50p would be very significant...

the fact that someone paid 48p after the close says it all!

Interst in TFL could well be rather strong on Monday. I'm just back from hols and notice the JB holding wasn't announced until a smidgeon into "after hours" on Friday, thus leaving everyone with the whole weekend to ponder on this one.

Looking forward to Monday's opening....and beyond!

Great move up today - performance has been pretty dull lately but appears to be re-rating - one for the UPS thread Sunday methinks.
