Shenanigens, the trade showing as a sell at 12.23 (213P) is actually a buy cos its delayed from 10.42 am when the spread was 210-215.Now why would they want us to think people were selling ? My guess is they're short of stock and/or there's a buy order to be filled.Pure conjecture cos I dont have level 2.Or is it a quirck of ADVFN ?

I never understand why the spread on this does n't put buyers off, greedy MMs.Its not had any press that I know of and its not been rerated (has it?) so the fact its still being nibbled is great, by the way ,I'm pretty sure the afore mentioned scenarios will happen.....I'll keep checking though.

Good luck with it Vern,a bit risky for my taste but I'll keep an eye on it.Nice to see this one up again. Was looking back to 2003 when Hartford had 19 outlets and now 28 (as FDG).Not bad growth for a tiddler. So its particularly thought provoking when they said in the results:
"This excellent performance demonstrates the operational gearing inherent within
the Group, where the central infrastructure is in place to manage significant
further site expansion without a material increase in the central cost base."

250p definately looks modest, I think this still has a fair bit to go. Looking at the large buys (by food group standards) over the last few days at full price, others believe it also.

Still the fish are nibbling,by my reckoning FDG will probably issue an update sometime mid Jan 2007,thats when they previously did it as part of the annual results. If your prepared to hold I think the share price will get another significant uplift. If the update's good the interims (end of May 07)will be excellent.

Especially for those of us who predicted (ok.hoped for) a dividend. Now its on the table it needs to be bettered and the fact its there is a statement of confidence in the managements ability to do just that.

Good results.

Surprised that forecasts haven't been raised for the coming year.

Impressively ,it appears that 98% of shares have been held by those who held before results. Not many tempted to cash in on recent gains, even though Xmas looms ever closer. If the company PR machine keeps us updated with regular snippets of good news 260p should be a breeze, fingers crossed for good trade in the coming weeks (crucial).

Have added a few today as I think this has much further to go - with a bit of patience. Meanwhile, the divi is very welcome!

Particularly like the following:
"The growth potential for the Henry J Bean's brand is substantial"
AND..........
"However, the material growth prospects for the brand come from the ability to
roll out to key locations in the UK, and internationally, through franchising.
We are currently in the process of securing sites for the first phase of this
brand expansion and look forward to providing a more substantive update in the
near future."

Hopefully Leeds will be a venue, then I can put my mouth where my money is.

Only had a quick glance so far (NTL broadband off in my area)but pleased about the maiden divi.Although still convinced its cheap I can't see much more share price action unless it gets some good press and a trading update after Xmas to confirm what they seem to be saying ie. its going to be a good one for FDG.

I like the confidence in paying a maiden dividend.
