Posted at 06/6/2007 19:28 by jeff h I wrote to the IC recently pointing out they never give FDG a mention.I reckon they forgot to include it after the name and ticker change. They are though covering it in this Friday's edition so it may well bring it to the attention of new investors. |

Posted at 02/3/2007 08:44 by spekky Lots of possibilities,but the one thing its not ,is an open offer for FDG,and having acquired the lions share they can dictate what happens next.If its an equity company I think it may go private.A lot depends on whether the current management knew about the manouvres.If its another restaurant/pub group I think holders here may end up with shares in that group rather than a premium to the current price,as happened when HAR took Jamies Bars.Surely we should at least have the sellers RNS by now. |

It is focused on growing the business both organically and via acquisition," Its obvious 2007 will see a lot of M&A activity in this sector,if FDG dont become bigger,pdq,I think it may become prey,but either way its win win. |
Posted at 16/2/2007 12:34 by spekky My main holdings are TAN,IMG,HBOS,FDG.All doing ok but I agree FDG need to pull a rabbit out of the hat soon,they're a safe bet but a bit slow to get the HJB brand going.There was a lot of paper talk last weekend about mergers/takeovers in this sector so it might get interesting before too long (fingers crossed). |
