The management claims they have a long term annual return on nav of over 10%, and the share price is under a third of nav, they should easily pay a 10% dividend and still have a dividend cover of more than three times, being conservative by any standards. Of course unless their nav return is all bxxx…

I asked the question about a year ago .it is in the best interest of the managers not to pay a high dividend....they get paid via the nav so this company is set up to benefit them and no one else

Overpaid and underperforming management. I find it irritating that they trot out the spurious NAV at every opportunity but never refer to the dividend yield as a factor of NAV. Maybe "Dividend yield of 1.3%" doesn't sound so good.

I think the shares (TFG and TFGS) are fungible i.e. you can switch between the two depending on whether you want to sell in USD or GBP. Sounds easy but, in practice, the brokers are not good at doing this.

Are you looking at TFG (1010c) or TFGS (780p)?

specto: My understanding is that, as the TFG/TFGS shares are fungible (you can swap between the two] so even if you hold TFGS you can tender for USD price.

Positive update on Ripple today. Ripple have bought back the entirety of TFG's shareholding in Ripple at a price 50% above TFG's in-price. According to Fortune, TFG also received accrued paid-in-kind dividends from Ripple. So a very successful outcome from an investment that I think a lot of people were attributing a much lower value to than TFG were holding it due to the SEC case. Shares rightly up today on this news and hopefully this will mark the start of a discount narrowing phase, especially if they use a good chunk of the cash realised to start a buyback...!?

Risk: Just shows you don't understand TFG dividend policy. The directors 'know' that shareholders are only worth a 4% dividend yield; that's why [when the share price dropped] they were able to cut the dividend from 18c to 10c per quarter.
