21/2/2017 22:51 | hguess Yes I think we are all pleased with still have a company to moan about. The management seem to be getting things done and as muted on here, we will hopefully have some news very shortly. You can see how the frustration mounts though, as in what I have pasted below. Note: The notice of dispute was handed to Kulob over a year ago and still we have heard diddly squat. It's exactly this kind of prolonged faffing about that gets everyone's backs up. It would be nice if we had some sort of time frame to work too rather than guesstimates tenuously gleaned from phone calls. I appreciate that negotiating the kind of loans that Tethy's will need do not get concluded over night. It would however be nice to have a rough idea or the Month in which they hope to achieve this. Arbitration The Company’s indirectly held subsidiary, Kulob Petroleum Limited, (“KPL”) the contracting partner in the Bokhtar Production Sharing Contract, has been informed by legal counsel representing Total and CNPC (the “Partners̶ | 1399peter
21/2/2017 20:31 | TI, If its any comfort, let me say that the new team with Wells and May took charge of Tethys in Nov last year after Abramov and Olisol breached the IA contract and then created havoc by trying to neutralise the Tethys operations. The new team had to contend with the loss of its only customers ICA and EGG "thanks to the Olisol tactics", no more O/D facilities and fear of bankruptcy !. In the three and half months the new team has done the following : - Found a new set of investors, The Kumars, albeit at a knock down price, who were willing to step in with their expertise and contacts plus their money, when no one else was willing to invest in an operation bereft of its only customers !. - Restored the ICA contract - Replaced EGG with a new customer - Restored the bank accounts that were frozen; Re TAG - Commenced legal proceedings against Olisol in Alberta for breach of contract and illegal acts of Olisol in KAZ. - Obtained 60% approval at the EGM to its two resolutions So, TI, while I understand your extreme frustration for the utter disappointment we have experienced during the last few years caused by events and the collapse of the TPL share price, you will, I hope, admit that the new team is making a constructive effort in order to resurrect the company. Do I think that the new team will succeed in its further efforts to restore stability ?. I bloody well hope so, based on what they have done so far !. | hguess16
21/2/2017 19:29 | TI, I too have been invested in this stock since late 2013 after I met Dr Robson and felt at the time that with all the talk of Sino Han cash flowing in, TPL was going to be a winner ! Robson, sadly departed, is no more !. His team incl Peter Lilley, Liz Landles and the rest are no longer at TPL. But I am still here and hoping that the new team can solve this short term cash issue constructively which enables TPL to keep the lenders content and also provide enough cash to drill those oil and gas wells which still have those reserves in KAZ that Sino Han was willing to pay $75m for a 50% stake !. Interesting that the KAZ Govt failed to provide approval !. In addition, you will be aware that TPL has also to establish new trading relationships with new partners, following the Olisol debacle !. I can only say that I was asked to be patient and wait until TPL is allowed to conclude negotiations and then obtain legal approval in order to ensure that any statements by the BOD, (incl forward looking news), would comply with regulatory requirements and good governance practice. As regards the minor trades on both the LSE and TSX, it seems that the big potential buyers and sellers are keeping their powder dry awaiting news like the rest of us. I have no choice but to wait and hope that the BOD will respond once they are able to provide some " positive " news !. | hguess16
21/2/2017 18:30 | So hguess16, has your contact suggested anything. | temporarily insane
20/2/2017 15:52 | I which case mister.. TI should be renamed PI..as in Permanently insane. I am surprised he hasn't screamed blue murder that the bid price has dropped from 1.75p to 1.5p on the sale of around £400.... | parthus
20/2/2017 15:43 | From memory it was the North Koreas presidents brother who told you parties but, alas, it would appear you've already dealt with him. As for buying into Asiamet, it was TI who made me say it, honest!!! | dorset64
20/2/2017 15:31 | Dorset old bean : I bought TPL at close to 50p on the recommendation of someone on a bulletin board. Since it has gone sadly wrong I have sent out the boys in the bowler hat brigade and poisoned umbrellas to seek and destroy. Unfortunately I cannot remember the swine's name ! However, I have bought a chunk of ARS, and if this goes wrong expect to be poisoned at your nearest bus stop... with my bad luck you probably always drive..... | parthus
20/2/2017 09:16 | As we're off topic and mentioning other shares, my vote for the most compelling investment case that I've found to date, is in Asiamet Resources (ARS). If anyone can find another share at the same stage, with the same projects/reserves etc etc for as small a price today, please do mention it. As always, don't take my word for it & research it, if you do you'll end up buying some I'm sure of it. TPL, I personally feel that there will be a news blackout for at least another week or so unless a deal has been sought regarding current loans/finance going forward. My view is a deal will be done, its just when is the question but we sit & wait. | dorset64
19/2/2017 14:45 | Casual take a look at SQZ it makes $3.5m a month and as a market cap of less than £60m | chestnuts
18/2/2017 20:33 | Making some sort of arrangement with Olisol could also provide the new investors a quick triple on their initial investment too -- so it may all depend on what they expect from the yet-drilled KAZ property... | benandemmiboo
18/2/2017 16:03 | Casual, The fact that Olisol would like to get a second chance with Tethys might indicate that Abramov and Co now realise that they have made a massive mistake in trying to short change Tethys and then disrupt the Tethys operation. They have not only put their own business in jeopardy but have missed a great opportunity to capitalise on the inherent value in Tethys' existing oil and gas reserves. I doubt if Olisol can find a solution to re-establish any kind of business relationship with Tethys if the Altyn Kyran Group has got involved via the Medgat Kumar link. | hguess16
18/2/2017 13:54 | Had a wee look at SOU. Hope TPL can pull off a similar refinancing and subsequent exponential share price curve. It is all possible. There can be a win-win for all of us, even Olisol. | casual47
17/2/2017 11:07 | Looking forward to the BOD showing us what they have been doing for the past year to boost this share price into the stratosphere. MAKE ONE OF THOSE MULTIPLE NOTHING RNS'S CREATE SOMETHING CLOSE TO SHAREHOLDER VALUE. | temporarily insane
17/2/2017 10:31 | D64, what do you think the options are re. the Caymans loan, seeing as that is the one at hand with the others due summer onwards. As the loan was not secured it seems risky for them to call it in. Unless the Cayman lender has particular influence in Kaz to make sure things go their way I can't see them wanting to take this step -- the exact outcomes of administration are often not foreseeable in Western jurisdictions and I can't even begin to imagine how it can play out in a place like Kaz. The ALR loans were renegotiated with a clause in them that stated if any other unsecured loan becomes secured then ALR have the right to veto this or to demand they get the same security. (I wonder if Bill was aware at the time of the lien clause the old BOD had added to the 2016 renegotiated contract for the Caymans loan -- it gave them security over 20% of the gas revenues and if that fell through they could seize assets. This clause was never activated as it was conditional on the Olisol placing completing). | casual47
17/2/2017 10:11 | casual, I spoke with them on Wednesday & yesterday. They have nothing else to report at the mo as still evaluating/sorting out the cash/loan situation. I don't think, apart from anything to do with Olisol that we'll hear anything for a few days/weeks yet. | dorset64
17/2/2017 10:00 | I see there is another small transaction from Pope, I presume one of his fundholders reducing. Question: as Bill has his shareholding in the Pope fund is it restricted by black out periods? I presume if the sell/buy request comes from an individual and not Bill then it falls outside of director dealing restrictions? | casual47
17/2/2017 09:57 | Has anyone spoken to the company last few days? My last email was followed by the RNS so I guess there won't be a reply to it (especially as it further asked about potential related party issues with the Kumars). Would be good to know when they expect to release the next company update. | casual47
17/2/2017 08:59 | There above placing shares are a non story. They were allied to the Olisol placing which never occurred, and now never will. Likewise & as a result, these shares will also never be placed. | dorset64
17/2/2017 06:36 | Thanks TI. Interesting to see if Bell et all ask for review in the light of what has happened ! | hguess16
17/2/2017 00:30 | Fbrj....sooooo...... the plot thickens ! Now you have sight.... sheesh... breath and sight...an abundance of riches ! | parthus
16/2/2017 22:46 | parthus - re your 13574: I think 1399Peter was the one who was saying he was up to his neck - but having checked....so am I, although over the last several months have actually got my average down to within sight! | fbrj
16/2/2017 21:13 | hguess16 I thought a screengrab might add something. | temporarily insane
16/2/2017 20:54 | Casual, TI, I have just looked at the press release dated 1/4/16 re the grant of options, These were granted in relation to the placing transaction by Olisol. I presume that since the placing became null and void in view of Olisol's failure, Tethys might contend that the options granted are invalid !. John Bell was awarded 2.362m shares at 2.5p to be vested on the date of the placing, with an expiry date on the 5th anniversary. Henderson, Rawls, and Roberts options were also to be vested on the date of the placing. | hguess16 |
